Positive: We absolutely loved the place! The location was tranquil and remote, just what we were after, but at the same time it was a great base for exploring Kangaroo Island. Kingscote, the nearest town, with its supermarket, shops, and bars, was only a 5-minute drive away; Penneshaw, with the ferry to the mainland, was 45 minutes by car; Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park was a 30-minute drive away, and Seal Bay was 45 minutes away. Our cabin was clean, spacious, and well maintained. It had a lounge with a sofa and a TV, a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy bedroom with a comfortable bed, and a bathroom with a shower, towels and toiletries. There was also a large porch, where we enjoyed sitting with our morning coffee, listening to the sounds of nature, and watching the sunrise. Brett was a great host, very helpful and responsive. He provided us with all the information we needed, including the correct directions, as the ones provided by Google Maps were inaccurate. It was a shame that we could only spend two nights there, as we could have easily stayed for a week. The cabin had everything we would have needed for a longer stay. If we ever return to Kangaroo Island, this place will be our first choice for accommodation.
