Positive: I absolutely loved everything about this place! The location is perfect, surrounded by nature, and I enjoyed seeing monkeys every day in the trees. The food prepared by the owner was delicious, and it made the experience even more special. The house and rooms were spotless and comfortable. Overall, it was an amazing stay, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommend!

The homestay is well-maintained, clean, and cozy, providing the perfect escape from the city. What truly made our stay special was the owner and his family – they were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive to all our needs. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. Positive: Amazing view from top with huge windows on a nice valley with monkeys and being embedded with the local community. The food was tasty and we had a great time. The owner was very considerate trying everything for us having a good time.

Negative: Nothing really. The one big balcony was not finished constructing but we could still use it and there is another balcony which is ready in the other room.

Positive: Everything was amazing, from the house to the owners. Who were very kind and helped me with driving my tuktuk even better. Even after we left, there was still contact because the owner wanted js to arrivs safely That would be the only thing to note, it is up a hill with narrow streets. If you are driving yourself, be aware. The views and the place make it up for the drive up.

Positive: Boscage Homestay was perhaps our best stay during our month in Sri Lanka. Felt much like a home away from home. Owner Sanjeewa, wife Hansi and son Oshane were amazing hosts. We shared meals and drinks over great conversation. Toured the neighborhood and met the neighbors. We even bathed in the natural spring in front of the homestay and just down the hill. Boscage (def: forest) Homestay is located in an upper middle class neighborhood in the hills surrounding Kandy. The interior of the home is like a museum of Sri Lankan crafts amd artifacts. The home is split into two floors, with the host family living on the first floor and guest rooms on the second. The two guest rooms are separated by a communal kitchen, dining and seating area. All areas of the second floor allow for sweeping views of Kandy and the surrounding hills amd mountains. The property is clean, comfortable, affordable and well situated above the bustle of town. As mentioned by other guest reviews, this is a homestay and not a guesthouse. This property would best serve guests who are interested in sharing experiences with a beautiful local family. Though privacy and independence are possible, it would defeat the intent of the hosts. (To Sanjeewa, Hansi and Oshane, we will be forever grateful for your hospitality and generosity! Ayubowan!)

Negative: Nothing not to like. However, future guests should know that the property is in the hills surrounding Kandy. If using local transportation, the host family can help arrange. Also, Google maps does not provide an accurate location, which is actually further up the hill. The host was going to work on providing an accurate location pin.
