The Dock: Have your boats or yacht waiting just outside your door. Large, deep-draft sailboats or yachts are easily accommodated with a waterway 20 ft deep and 100 foot wide. Even tall vessels travel quickly between the Ocean and Florida Bay using the drawbridge just 1000 yards from the dock. With gas, bait, and tackle shops located before the bridge, your convenience is assured.
*****Love Fishing?***** Enjoy casting right from the dock for yellow tail, red snapper or grouper. Cast-offshore for sport fishing in the Gulf Stream. The world famous “hump,” an underwater mountain just 11 miles from the dock, has made Islamorada fishing world famous; catch marlin, sailfish, black-fin tuna, mahi-mahi, wahoo and many more ocean treasures.

Downstairs has one Bedroom with a king size bed and a queen size sofa bed. Enjoy the convenience of a first floor bathroom, and refrigerator, sink and Microwave – perfect for those lazy outside days!

Summary: Small 1960s era block building with fishing boat dock on canal open to the bay and thus the ocean. Older and basic in fit/finish but well kept and well priced. QUIET at night, mostly owner occupied neighborhood and zero noise from 10p to 7a. Nice shade outdoor sitting areas, water access but also location is close to 50 Fishing Charter put ins, a great beach (Founders Park) and restaurants. Plain, simple, perfect for us. Responsive owners also. We will stay here again.

Summary: #1 (A) CLEAN (B) LOCATION : Only a couple hour drive south from Ft. Lauderdale airport Short navigation thru canal that leads to river to access ocean or bay. The dock is so convenient to keep boat for easy access. Neighborhood is very quiet and safe. Owners live next door (empty lot in between) and are very friendly/sweet but not intrusive. Handy to ask for advice/recommendations, or a cup of sugar! Short drive to grocery, pharmacy, all kinds of great restaurants, nice little town beach, interesting stores to find memorabilia, gifts, apparel #2 Comfortable/ modern convenience Bathrooms well designed for places to hang towels, store personal items/toiletries Kitchen equipped with pots, pans, baking sheets, blender, mixer, variety of utensils. Modern oven, fridge (ice maker) and dishwasher Bedrooms have plenty of closet space, comfortable beds/linens, nicely decorated. Ceiling Fans and blinds in all windows. Screened patio was sooooo nice to open sliding door and let the fresh air in Living spaces with dining table, couches and chairs that are in great condition (not worn out) Outside: plenty of parking space, gas grill and charcoal bbq, hammock, lounge chairs, Adirondack chairs and hanging swings, patio table. Lots of choices for hanging out to sunbathe, cocktails, etc. The laundry is a very modern washer and dryer stacked in an alcove off the carport. Large capacity and work excellent

Summary: Island Time was perfect for our trip to the Keys. Great location near restaurants and boat rental was a short walk away. The host were very responsive and extremely nice. There was great communication and check in was very easy.

Summary: We decided to do a trip instead of gifts this year, and it was a successful experiment! We had four of our five children (twin 19 year old boys, 9 yo girl, 8 yo boy) along with my husband and myself. The divided “apartments” worked perfectly for our age-diverse family, and the location was not only great for fishing and a rented boat, but very centralized for checking out local attractions and lots of great restaurants. The twins even got around of golf in! It was our first trip to the Keys and we (every one of us) thoroughly enjoyed it. Jim was very helpful and we enjoyed Norm’s stories!
