Positive: The rooms are some of the most comfortable we have had in over 2 months all over SEA. AMAZING AC, big comfortable beds, black out curtains, multiple charging points per bed. Dara and his family are so kind, generous and really lovely. There is a very nice vibe to this hostel and everyone we met were very friendly. We really enjoyed our time here. It is also 3 minute walk from Nestival and a 20 minute walk to Ko Long (the town with all the supermarkets and cheaper restaurants). If you stay the other side of the beach all the restaurants are much more expensive with no supermarkets.

Negative: The area around the hostel is still a building site and there could be some improvement, however the entire area is under construction so all the other hostels are like this too. I think the communal seating area could be made bigger - especially during Nestival would be nice to have more of a social space :) Do not use the laundry onsite for white clothes - our clothes came back stained.

Positive: I love the air conditioner , the mattress was perfect , and family host they are amazing and they help me a lot . High recommend this awesome hostel , they have also amazing private rooms

Positive: We enjoyed our stay in Blue Zone very much and actually extended our stay for two more nights. The hostel is work in progress and the owner, Dara, was giving his best to make our stay worthwhile. Our private room was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The property is close to the infamous ‘Nest Beach Club’ hostel but doesn’t have the noise of the never-ending party there so it’s wonderfully quiet. The Nest, however, makes for a good hub for getting food or hanging out at the beach. So Blue Zone really has the ideal location in our opinion. We rented a scooter from Dara and went to Coconut Beach, Pagoda Beach and the Community Pier, all of which are easily accessible and can be covered in a day trip. Whenever we came home or had a question or request, Dara was there for us. Thanks for the hospitality and all the best for the hostel. For sure it will be a great success.

Positive: The host and his family are very friendly and helpful people. They also have an adorable little boy. The room was spacey with big lockers under the beds for backpacks or suitcases. The beds are really big and comfortable. There are curtains around the beds that allow you some privacy. The A/C and the WiFi were working great. The showers and toilets are in a separate building. The hostel is only a few minutes walking from the beach. It's not in the village, which is good when you like it calm. They also helped me to organize my trip back to the mainland.

Negative: There is a really bad road leading to the hostel. Scariest tuk tuk drive ever! There is still a lot of renovation work going in the hostel.

Positive: I can’t recommend this place more. The guy who runs the hostel was great, he was so helpful and nothing was too big of an ask. The room was clean and spacious, 2 minute walk from the beach. Really good value for money!
