2 Bedroom House in Wyke Regis, Weymouth

Blue Horizons was built by a local builder in 2017 on the edge of Weymouth and has show stopping panoramic views that stretch from Lulworth to Portland and beyond. This stunning house offers all you need for a comfortable stay by the sea in Dorset. We fell in love with it before it was even finished, for us it was the large first floor veranda with wrap around glass balustrade giving us totally uninterrupted views of Portland and its huge harbour. A fabulous place to watch sailing and kite surfing, with a coffee or glass of wine in hand, depending on time of day!! The rest of the house, although fabulous, was almost insignificant! That said, it has a very large, light, fully fitted kitchen diner with dishwasher, wine fridge, washing machine/drier, microwave, coffee maker etc. Patio doors lead to an all glass garden room with a comfy sofa, and the garden. Another set of patio doors take you straight to the garden. The sitting room is a great place to relax and catch up with reading or favourite TV shows, or wander through the patio doors out to the terrace. There is also a downstairs cloakroom.
On the first floor there are two en suite bedrooms, the master bedroom with king-size bed, smart TV, black out blinds, a balcony overlooking the sea with two chairs and small table for morning coffee.
Bedroom No.2 can be made up as a king-size bed or two singles. Also on the first floor is the fabulous veranda with sofa and two armchairs, (comfy cushions available in cushion box) and this is accessed from the landing.
The garden also overlooks the sea, which is less than 50 metres away, and has plenty of garden furniture and a charcoal kettle BBQ. Smallmouth Bay (as shown in photographs) is about 300 metres away and close to this is an area which is great for windsurfers, kite surfers etc. There is a paddle board school/hire next to a cocktail bar/restaurant on the beach. Not a bad life in sunny Weymouth!
All government guidance will be adhered to with regard to cleaning and sanitation. So sorry but as this is a new property we do not accept dogs, but we have a beach front property in Porthtowan, Cornwall called "Surfsounds" (ref. 8032348) where we do.

Summary: This is our second visit to Blue Horizon. Another fantastic stay, felt like coming home. Love the addition of the summer room, especially great on a rainy day. Lots of walking routes directly from the property. We explored Portland, the quarry park, walking to Portland Bill along the coastal path. Highly recommend a stay at this beautiful property.

Summary: The property is great. The location and the views are exceptional !We have been blessed with incredible weather for our two week stay, and have been able to enjoy the house and all it has to offer to its maximum.Everything is provided and the location provides the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area.Whilst a car is highly recommended, the local bus service into Weymouth is very good, and from Weymouth, you are able to get buses and trains to various destinations.The house is very comfortable and we would definitely look to return if we come back to Dorset in the future.Highly recommended.

Summary: The views are amazing. Walking path and the sea right behind house. View after view. Well equipped kitchen with tons of space, comfy living room- and I loved the sunroom out back! This was October weather with occasional rain and wind. Must be truly amazing in summer with outdoor spaces.. convenient for Dorset exploring.

Summary: The house is beautiful and clean with far reaching views towards Portland. The bottle of bubbly & card for our 40th wedding anniversary was a lovely touch. Plenty to see and do during the day & spent every evening just watching the goings on. We would definitely book this property again, without a doubt.

Summary: Wonderful stay in this beautiful property - pictures can't do justice to the views! The location of the property is wonderful with beaches, restaurants and nice beach bar all in easy walking distance. There is a Coaster open top bus that links you into Weymouth and connecting services down the coast. So much to do in the area! Communication/recommendations from Gilly and Bob were excellent - you can tell how proud they are of the property and how much they enjoy it themselves, rightly so. Parking right outside, everything you could need inside - we honestly couldn't fault it.

Summary: Blue Horizons is a beautifully designed and well-furnished house with sea views to die for! I am very elderly and travelled with my two mature daughters. The house had everything you could need but, as our week was quite hot, maybe the addition of a fan or two would be welcomed if you feel the heat, although we closed all curtains whilst out during the day, which worked quite well, plus the garden and balconies were quite breezy. There is are so many lovely places to visit and good 'eateries' in the area too. We hope to return to Blue Horizons and would happily recommend it to anyone.
