Mediterranean home that steps to the private end of Twin Lakes Beach. Blacks Beach has great swimming, surfing and skim boarding. Walk to the Harbor, Crow's Nest, Como di Lago, The kind Grind Coffee Shop and other great spots. Bike rentals available. Our house is fully equipped for your enjoyment. bath and beach towels, linens and down quilts. There are two master bedrooms (California king & two extra long twin beds) with full baths upstairs and balconies. There is a queen sofa bed downstairs with a half bath. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is indoor dining room seating for four and outdoor seating.
A warm outdoor shower is located on the side yard and there is a tropical secluded patio in the backyard with gas BBQ, dining table and chairs. Skim boards, boogie boards and beach toys are provided. This home is perfect for two couples or a family. (2-6 occupancy). We will accept pets upon approval but there is an additional fee. Parties and Weddings are not allowed.

Summary: We have stayed at Laurie’s beach house 3 times. We love it. From the comfy and cozy house to the location—it’s all perfect. Never have any problems, and Laurie is a great hostess. We look forward to our beach week every year. Have recommended to friends as well.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Laurie's place. Less than a block from Blacks Beach--our favorite in Santa Cruz--our family felt right at home. Plenty of space for us (there were 6 of us for a couple of the days, plus a one-year-old), as well as a backyard. The beds were comfortable, and Laurie provided plenty of beach chairs and towels, as well as a beach wagon. Having the bbq was a plus, and we found everything we needed when we cooked. I highly recommend Blacks Beach Retreat!

Summary: The house is in a great location & has comfy beds. Loved having all the beach supplies to use. We were happy to bring umbrellas & chairs down to the beach with us. The decor is a bit dated but that doesn’t take away from the functionality of the home. Overall we would certainly recommend this house to others looking to stay in Santa Cruz.

Summary: This house is absolutely perfect. Exactly as pictured/described. Great space and amenities. 1/4 block from a lovely little beach. Some restaurants/market/liquor store/coffee within immediate walking distance, and perfectly situated between downtown Santa Cruz and Capitola. Absolutely loved this place and was very sad to leave. Hope to be back soon.

Summary: This cottage is delightful ! Beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home, loved the flowers and succulents on the property. We booked the cottage to elope to the Redwoods!
