Positive: Our host was very welcoming. At breakfast there was a delicious selection of condiments, and the coffee was delicious. The building was warm and spacious. The room very comfortable and peaceful. Beautiful linen and the bed soothingly comfortable. The birdsong in the morning is soul restoring, and it is such a joy to see the birds swooping from the treetops. And such an array of birdlife.

Summary: A beautiful location in the bushland, very comfortable accommodation and the birdsong exquisite.

Positive: Its a 'must visit' hideaway away from suburbia . A forested gem with a lovely homey feel amongst the sounds of birds and especially the repeated noticeable calling of the Bell Bird. A very easy going host Daniel that is very knowlegeable of his turf. From deer footprints to bandicoot holes, and a creek which is home to platypus in the wild.

Positive: Beautiful location, and plenty of local information from our host. It's wonderful that they aim to keep this a quieter sanctuary without children (albeit children make holidays great too!) Very respectful of our time and keen to remind us to relax, which I valued! Warm and inviting room and amenities, beautiful position and lovely views front and back of property. Rooms comfortable, space for hanging clothes, small fridge, bbq, windows and fly screens, and AC/heater available. Lush gardens with a variety of birds chattering all day which was lovely to hear, and watch or feed them. Tranquil, lots of trees to provide shade if you wanted to sit out and relax. I would love to spend a couple of weeks to detox/unwind/unload/relax! A nice location with small townships 20-40 mins away, great for visiting beaches, nature parks, lovely roads for motorbike touring, and would be ideal for keen cyclists with all the trails.

Negative: The king bed or large queen was two beds together so we slept on separate beds, or laid "in the ditch" which wasn't good for backs/closeness. Had we known this when booking we would have chosen a bed with one mattress.

Positive: It’s called Birdsong for a VERY good reason- the bird chorus was incredible and probably the most diverse we’ve heard in a long time of travelling! The place itself is beautiful and comfortable; host very welcoming and generally a lovely human. Wish we stayed longer

Negative: The hot water system is a little bit quirky, but nothing unmanageable, particularly if you’re aware of it.
