Picture waking up each morning with the soothing sounds of nature surrounding your PEI cottage. Birds singing, squirrels scampering through the trees and the call of a mallard breaks the stillness in the cool morning air. Grab a coffee and walk down to the deck overlooking the lake and smell the freshness. Watch and listen as the still lake is interrupted by trout drawing ripples in the mirror surface.
This cottage is one of our two bedroom cottages. Both two bedroom cottages have double beds in each bedroom and a new pullout sofa in the living room. The kitchens in all the cottages are fully equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, coffee pot, Satellite TV and DVD. Dishes and cutlery.
The screened porch is a great place to sit in the fresh air. Smoking is permitted on the porch. We ask that you do not smoke in the cottages. We provide a smoke free environment in all our rooms. Cigarette smoking is allowed on the porch of the cottages with ashtrays provided. Please keep the cottage door close if smoking on the porch. We are a Cannabis free property. The use of Cannabis is prohibited anywhere on our property. Thanks for your cooperation.
All the cottages are equipped with fans; some have ceiling fans and other have portable fans. Outside you have a picnic table and a charcoal BBQ. Gas BBQs are available at a small fee for the propane
Location
Forest and Stream Cottages is located in southeastern PEI, just outside Murray Harbour. Our property is 20 acres of natural beauty with walking trails and the only easy acces to a trout filled 1 km long fresh water lake.
Located south off highway 18 (Cape Bear Road) just west of Murray Harbour Village welcome sign. We are 15 minutes to Wood Island Ferry terminal and only 45 minutes to Charlottetown.

Summary: The host's were extremely friendly . The cabins were very clean and located on a private lake with boats in a very quiet location. They had everything you need and more. Breakfast prepared by hosts were exceptional and reasonably priced. Even supplied games for the evenings and had walking trails on-site. Close to a general store that was well stocked.

Summary: The units are cute in a rustic sort of way. Glenn is very knowledgeable about the island and everything to do - although he is biased towards the East coast :)! The entire property had a homey feel, much appreciated!

Summary: So when I saw the ad for this place and the first thing I see if the giant estate like home ( not the cottages ) and there are no pictures of the outside of the cottages to give people a true picture of where they’re staying. I found it misleading and for what I paid it wasn’t that great. Literally, a small cabin with 2 double beds which is barely enough room when you are sharing the bed. It’s ok for what it is but my problem is its overpriced and not what I envisioned

Summary: We rolled into Forest & Stream on July 1st for a 2-day stay and were greeted by the very gracious and friendly Glenn, who took the time to detail specific points according to our interests on a handy map of the east point before handing us the key to Shady Nook. What a cottage! Clean, cozy setup, beautiful surroundings, and stocked with all the appliances, dishes, and utensils that we needed for homecooked meals. Not to mention the charcoal grill and bbq located right outside our cabin. We did some travelling around to different beaches and historic sites during our stay, but we also partook in the sweet onsite offerings of bike rentals for the nearby Confederation Trail, and took the canoe and the paddle-boat scot-free for a jaunt down the forest-hugged tributary at the foot of the property. No matter what we filled our days with, our cozy, comfortable, homey Shady Nook was always a welcoming retreat at the end of them. Glenn and Joan were so very hospitable, helpful, accommodating, and friendly and we thank them for making our trip to the island so perfectly unforgettable. We will be back! Stayed: July 2015, travelled with family
