Positive: We had a lovely stay. The cottage was cosy and clean. Just to know for future travellers, when coming to the cottage, we lost a signál and it wasn’t easy to find it. Make sure you study the location before the signál goes off. Of course this has no bad reflection on the property… just could be a useful info for visitors.

Positive: It was very clean and the position was good. The bathroom, which is enclosed but has an outdoor feel, was lovely. The staff were really helpful when we asked, but this is not a heavily touristed area and so don’t expect the sort of service you might find in other areas. Having said that the staff were very responsive but you do have to ask. The cottages are a bit out of the way and you’ll need to hire mopeds or a car and driver to visit local areas (the driver has to come from Bajawa so best to organise in advance). The hot springs and village are recommended.

Negative: No, it’s a good place to stay in the area.

Summary: Good place to stay, good facilities and very clean.

Positive: Mr. Ichan, the local manager, was amazing. His kindness, politeness, and support in arranging all the details made a big difference. The cottage is also charming and perfectly adequate for a few days’ stay.

Negative: No daily cleaning, and supplies are not refilled unless requested. Their transport partners also seem unreliable, we had a 90-minute delay with the airport taxi they arranged.

Summary: A very enjoyable area for hiking, trekking, and relaxing, and Benabilla made it possible.

Positive: We loved staying at Benabilla Cottages. The hotel opened last year and everything is thoughtfully arranged, clean and well designed. The room is very cozy and the bathroom super spacious. In total they have 3 cottages. Breakfast is served on the little verandah of your cottage. You can also order a dinner. The owners speak very good English and were always happy to help. My friend was sick and they organized a transport to Bajawa to see a doctor. Highly recommend staying with them!

Positive: It is located walking distance from the traditional villages and with a good view on the volcano. Very silent and central at the same time

Negative: The hotel just opened when we arrived - 10 days before - so the host wasn't very sure yet how to answer all our touristic questions, but I'm sure that is now different
