Positive: Non weekend staff were excellent to deal with and very helpful. Weekend staff was not very helpful.

Negative: Didn't have hot water for a whole day, our room was not cleaned half the time we were there

Positive: Good location for walking to downtown. A bit confusing as there are multiple separate buildings but the concierge was great and showed me how to get to our room. My husband liked the bed but way too soft for me. The AC was a struggle to get right. Seems it may be a set temp which can be rough. Overall nice place.

Negative: Both mornings at 7:30am jackhammers started directly outside our room. Road construction was digging up the street to the point where the police on detail had us walk along a neighboring lawn. Although this is beyond the hotel’s control and I am aware of this, I have to assume they knew it was going to happen as it affected their property. It definitely caused us to be frustrated with the stay. I wish we were told as maybe there was an option to stay in one of the other buildings.

Positive: Staff were friendly and accommodating. Kim was very personable and welcoming. Food was delicious! Breakfast exceeded our expectations. Room was cozy, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The shower was hot, toiletries were very nice (high quality), maid service was impeccable (replacement of towels, water etc).

Negative: Honestly, there was nothing we did not like. We plan on returning!

Summary: Our stay exceeded our expectations and made our first trip to Newport RI very memorable!
