PROS AND CONS TO DIFFERENT WAYS OF BOOKING, BUT FOR A DISCOUNT GOOGLE "Skaneateles" and "Lakeside" AND LOOK FOR THE SITE WITH "long lake".
Come relax with your family and friends by beautiful Skaneateles Lake! Our ranch home is located a convenient 5 miles south of the village of Skaneateles on the west side of the lake. The house sits on 1.6 acres with 130 feet of private lakefront complete with patio furniture, a picnic table, dock and a fire pit, which makes it a perfect place for enjoying beautiful Skaneateles Lake. The house sits up near the road and the lakefront is 400 feet from the house. Explore the lake in our canoe or kayaks, or, for those who wish to bring their motor boat or sailboat, a marina is a mere 0.3 miles south of the house and we have a mooring available for your use. Stroll down to the Mandana Inn (a mere 0.3 miles south) for a scrumptious meal, enjoy a glass of wine at Anyela's vineyard (1.4 miles north), explore the many quaint shops and restaurants of downtown Skaneateles (5 miles north), or simply relax and take in the breathtaking beauty of the lake right at the house. The house has two king beds, two twin beds, a bunk bed with two full beds, and two full bathrooms; it therefore comfortably fits 8 people. The living room, kitchen and master bedroom have views of the lake. The house has air conditioning. The main room is a spacious open area comprised of the kitchen, living room and dining area. The dining area has a dining table which can expand to accommodate up to 10 people. The porch off the back of the house facing the water has two lounge chairs and two tables, one accommodating 6 people and another in a screened in area of the porch which accommodates 4-5 people. A two car garage is attached to the house with additional parking in the driveway. There are two small steps to access the house. Amenities include a fully stocked kitchen, an outdoor grill, washer and dryer, wireless internet, and TV with DVD. Please note that parties with outside guests are not allowed while renting the house.

Summary: This property is beautiful with the magnificent view of the lake and very serene. The house was very lovely and everything you needed was there. The owners daughter was easy to communicate with and everything was exactly as described. I will definitely be back to stay here.

Summary: We truly enjoyed our stay . The back porch as well as the screened in porch were wonderful. Countertops and cabinets, however were meant for tall people, making it difficult to reach certain items... the walk to the lake was a trek especially carrying recreational items and for older people. Overall a relaxing stay

Summary: This was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with our family. Between the comfortable rooms, beautiful deck, screened in porch, dock, canoe and kayaks there was always something for everyone to do or a beautiful place to relax with a book. You want for nothing here and the host and owners provide everything needed for a stress-free vacation. The setting is absolutely breathtaking. We are so very grateful for our wonderful week here!

Summary: We have always enjoyed day trips to the Skaneateles area, and as Covid restrictions had eased, we thought renting a lake home in Skaneateles would be the perfect place for a long awaited family get together. The home we rented was perfect for the six of us. The rental process was a breeze and Katharine (owner’s daughter) was very responsive to any information or questions that we had, The home was well appointed, clean, and had an ideal location on a “pristine” lake. We were able to enjoy swimming near the dock, and we had the the ability to moor our boat at the property. A favorite spot at the home was having our meals on the porch overlooking the lake. We did have some rain during our visit, but on sunny days we made the most of outside activities. When we had to be inside.we played a variety of games with the grandchildren. You would not be disappointed with this home rental!

Summary: We joined another family and just loved our stay! The kitchen was great to work in. The porch was a great place to start the morning! The dock and swimming area was perfect to hang in the water. The campfire pit was a wonderful perched on the edge of the water. Our favorite was the millions of fireflies at night on the path! We have stayed several places on Skaneateles and this is by far one of my favorites!
