Summary: There was a strong musty smell when first entering in the dome. Opening windows resolved most of it. Must be air tight construction. Quiet and had everything we needed for our stay. Did set off the smoke alarm with just making toast so was good to know it worked. Did not use the big soaking tub due to concern of water conservation. Enjoyed local sites of Sand Dunes, Zapata Falls and Sand Dune Recreation hot springs and pools. Local grocery store and diner in Crestone looked good but, did not have a chance to eat there (8am-2pm)

Summary: My husband and I celebrated our anniversary weekend in 'Beautiful Dome' which is 1/2 of the duplex in this domed house. The minute we stepped through the door we felt the world slip away. The space is uncluttered and it is clear that each piece is chosen carefully for its simple elegance. We would absolutely recommend it, and would stay here again if ever in Crestone.
