Summary: House is very CLEAN and very comfortable, with interesting art pieces throughout. The only thing that would have made it better (for us at least) would have been a washer and dryer. Other than that, we wanted for nothing in this beautiful house. Comfy beds, plenty of soft fluffy towels, substantial dining room furniture, plenty of closet space and extra blankets, linens are NICE and of higher quality than you might expect in a rental, K-cup maker. Neighborhood is either on the decline or experiencing an upswing - we couldn't tell. Was a mix of well kept properties such as this one, homes and yards that could use some attention, and commercial properties such as auto related, restaurants, art center and others. We did not try any, as we ended up taking day trips to other towns. There is an AMAZING lengthy boardwalk along the river, a MUST-DO if you stay here. The town...?? If you are looking for allot of activity and variety, you will end up driving to other places during the days as we did! But if you are looking for a place to enjoy the outdoors, and to put your feet up and relax in comfort and peace, a respite from stress and worry, then BOOK NOW! Can't say anything negative - great time!

Summary: My artist friend and I spend a lovely weekend in this cottage during an art workshop. We couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. Spacious and clean with a well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and linens provided. Nice backyard patio and grill area too.

Summary: My brother, nephew and I were going duck hunting in Hyde County, about 30 minutes from Columbia, NC. Hyde is a very remote part of North Carolina and the acomodations options are limited, to say the least. We wanted a house, vs. a motel and after some looking came across this house in Columbia, NC. Absolutely perfect for us. House had everything we needed or wanted, was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was great for us, but this is no hunting cabin, by anyone's definition, and would do great for a couple or small family there to take in Tyrell county, the Pamlico Sound and downtown Columbia. Marlene was very communicative, responsive and a pleasure to deal with the whole way through (including refunding our security deposit immediately, without issue or prompting). We highly recommend and will be back!!! Thanks, Jay
