Welcome to Moose Manor Bar Harbor. This is our home, and we would love to share it with you! Located on Federal Street, Moose Manor is a 1904 New England-style house with all the upgrades and conveniences of modern living. Freshly painted throughout with exquisite, fully-equipped designer kitchen and a fully updated bath. All the comforts of home in one perfect location, walking distance to everything.
There are 3 bedrooms which comfortably sleep 6. One bedroom has a queen bed, the second has one full and twin bed, and the third has a twin. There is one bathroom (with a wonderful claw-foot tub!) on the second floor. Each bedroom includes wall mirrors to reduce demand for bathroom mirror time. Master bedroom includes a dressing table with light/mirror. All bedrooms have abundant sunshine and ocean breezes.
The front of the house features a wonderful enclosed porch with a bistro table/chairs, rocker and futon. Perfect for morning coffee or an afternoon nap. The soft sound of local seagulls is often present.
In the back of the house, just off the kitchen, you'll find a small wood deck with a Weber grill and chairs to enjoy the cool afternoon breeze while your steak is grilling.
The kitchen has everything you'll need if you choose to prepare some of your own meals during your stay, including some basic pantry items for your use. Top-of-the-line small appliances (including Bunn AND Keurig coffee makers!) are available as well. Other items include Belgian waffle maker, 4 slice Cuisinart toaster, blender, food-processor, Crock Pot, pots/pans and bake-ware as well as an OVER-SIZED lobster pot for boiling your own 'catch' right at home! Easy instructions provided.
Although you'll probably want to get out and enjoy all that Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park has to offer, the home is also supplied with 'rainy day items' should you choose to stay indoors. 32' LCD TV, DVD player, and a wide selection of books, DVDs and games are available for your enjoyment.

Summary: The house was spotless and very well equipped to meet any need. The only time we used our car was for trips to Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula, Everything else was a 2-5 minute walk. Paul was a great host, always prompt to respond and helpful. I highly recommend Moose Manor!

Summary: Moose Manor in Bar Harbor was exactly as advertised -- well maintained, within walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor and a very comfortable place to stay. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was updated and well stocked, and house felt cozy to stay in for a week. Paul, the owner, goes above and beyond to provide information about the area and tips that come in handy during your stay. It's obvious he cares about his home and the people who stay in it, and to me that makes all the difference. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

Summary: We came back to stay at Moose Manor for the second time. Three of us - parents and an adult daughter who could work remotely. Was absolutely fine for the three of us and the convenience of the location just cannot be beaten - with multiple coffee shops, restaurants and other attractions less than three minutes away - and no parking or driving.

Summary: We've stayed in the area a few times before (in the park or on Somes Sound). this was first time staying in town. A few key points: - the house is lovely, so well appointed, clean, comfortable, great layout, and quiet (in a nice residential area tucked into center of town). - communication with the owner was spot on, we knew just what to expect evey step of the way, and he was provided many helpful tips on local points of interest in restaurants - the location is unbelievably convenient. i mean unbelievably convenient. you have a lovely, quiet house with off street parking to come home to that is mere steps away from a myriad of shops and restaurants, and just down the road from the park and loads more sights. - we loved every bit of our vacation, made all the more special given the home we enjoyed as our base of operations for all sorts of adventures (hiking, kayaking, etc, etc.). what a special place!

Summary: Our family of 4 had a PERFECT vacation. Everything at the home was precisely as advertised, and perfectly spotless. We contemplated staying a couple miles outside of downtown, but this was the most enjoyable vacation ever- Just a short walk to all meals, gorgeous downtown, and beautiful views of the harbor; or a 10 minute drive into Acadia. Paul was a great and responsive host and we had a great time! We will absolutely be coming back!

Summary: Location is about as convenient as you can get for Bar Harbor. The house was perfect for our family of four. Paul was a wonderful host whose suggestions on activities and restaurants ended up being our favorite parts of the trip.

Summary: Very cute and comfortable home perfect for our family of 6. Walking distance to all restaurants and shopping in Bar Harbor. Also, the shuttle bus into Acadia was very close as well. As a result, this was a vacation from the car which was nice too. Hosts were amazing and made everything better.
