Located in the heaven of the East Neuk of Fife, in the pretty seaside village of Lower Largo. This village is home to the fictional character of Robinson Crusoe and has an interesting history behind it. It's local amenities include The Crusoe Hotel and corner shop and post office.
The Haven is a charming and beautifully situated house with 5 bedrooms ( 3 double and 2 rooms with 2 single beds in each) and 4 bathrooms including 1 en-suite. It can comfortably sleep up to 10 people. It is perfect for a family get together, and it is well positioned for local access yet is very quiet and peaceful. The open plan kitchen and diner seats 10 and is fully equipped with an integrated dishwasher, gas hob, fan oven, fridge freezer with ice dispenser and coffee maker. The utility room has a washer drier. The fantastic conservatory that opens onto the decking allows for a panoramic view of the beach, coast line and stunning sea views- from here you can hear the waves lapping!

The Haven is a great base for exploring this wonderful coastline, it is only 15 minutes from the picturesque and bustling town of St Andrews and also on our doorstep are some of the oldest and top rated golf courses.

Summary: Just the perfect place to stay for long walks on the beach and walkable amenities. The views from the home are just incredible. We enjoyed sunny afternoons on the deck and in the sun room on cooler days. Very comfortable home and well equipped kitchen. We hope to be back next year!

Summary: This beautiful home is set up for a comfortable stay in many ways. The bedrooms are large and comfortable; the common areas are perfect for several adults (we were a group of six); and the views are magnificent. Lisa, our host, was accessible and accommodating.

Summary: We rented this house for 3 weeks to celebrate some family events. The house was able to accommodate my extended family very easily. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, silverware and cookware and easy to work in. Bedrooms and bathrooms all a good size. The most spectacular thing about the house was the view!! We were right on the Firth of Forth and it was beautiful. We had our own access to the beach and we spent a lot of time walking and collecting shells. Hours of entertainment especially for the little ones! There is a lovely cafe, The Aurrie, 3 doors from the house that we went to often. The Crusoe restaurant down the street was very good too. The narrow street and parking were a bit of a learning curve but was fine once we figured it out. We had a few reasons to contact the owner and she was very responsive to us. I highly recommend the house if you are looking for a beautiful place to stay!!

Summary: We had a wonderful family beachside holiday in The Haven. 5 Adults and 4 children comfortably fitting into the house. My other son and family were staying in a pet friendly house just across the road and we would meet on the beach for an early morning swim…fantastic! The house is very well equipped and the children especially loved the attic playroom . We holidayed in Lower Largo many times when my children were young and it was so nice being back, now with grandchildren. The food in the nearby Crusoe Hotel is great if you fancy a night off cooking and The Aurrie (almost next door), was great for breakfast and a lunch. We would very much like to return.

Summary: What a MARVELOUS location and such a comfy house. Everything you need is close by in Leven and the village is charming. We took early morning dips in the sea, the grandchildren fluttered about on the beach all day and the mums and dads had a good rest. The children’s playroom at the top of the house was magic. Booked for next year!
