This newly renovated antique house in Baddeck is your home away from home on the Cape Breton Island. Set on a slope overlooking the Bras d'or Lake, it is the perfect base for exploring the various attractions on the Cape Breton Island. It is 5 minutes' drive to Baddeck town center and the Bell Museum; around 100KM from Ingonish Beach and the Cape Breton Highlands National Park to the north; 110KM from the Fortress of Louisbourg to the east, and 90KM from Cheticamp to the west.

The frame of this house is probably century old and was moved to the current location more than 50 years ago. Due to the enormous effort of previous owners and our the recent renovation, the house retained its original architectural style, while having all the modern comfort.

We fell in love with this scenic area on our first visit and would love to share this little piece of heaven with our guests.

Summary: Four of us enjoyed our stay during Celtic Colours Festival. Communication before our visit was great and James was an excellent host. The house has a great view of the water and is clean with everything functioning. The upstairs rooms were great and there is a luxury bathroom upstairs. The downstair bathroom is somewhat small. We enjoyed the stay.

Summary: We spent two nights at Bayside Haven and found the house to be as comfortable as it is lovely. The view from the deck was beautiful; the house was immaculate.

Summary: We had a lovely time at Bayside Haven in Baddeck. Our hosts were very helpful and hospitable. The home is very clean with gorgeous views of the lake. It's just a brief drive into the town of Baddeck. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Summary: Bayside Haven at Baddeck was a cozy home perfectly located minutes from the hub of activity in Baddeck as well as Bras’ dor Lake. The view of the lake is beautiful. We were welcomed by a charming couple who were very warm and hospitable. The home was clean and comfortable with very nice upgrades. We especially enjoyed the spacious upstairs bathroom with the surprise “throne”. The property is shared with 2 other homes, but this is not an inconvenience. Thank you to Cynthia and her gracious parents for a wonderful stay!
