Negative: To far from the 24hr convenience store (have to go for a 10-12mins walk in total darkness) No proper halal food eventhough they advertise

Positive: Our James Bond-esque arrival on a speed boat from Lombok was epic. The architecture is a beautiful contemporary design, with a spacious aspect, making you feel like you’re not on top of each other. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, and we’re genuinely lovely people. There is a lovely bar, as well as swim up bar so you can enjoy the happy hour cocktails! The restaurant has multiple areas to eat, poolside and beachside. The food was to a very good standard, especially the sushi and steaks. The rooms were very spacious, we had our own deck area and dip pool, which was welcome after a walking around the beautiful island! The gym was pretty well equipped for a small space, and because of the booking system, you have it to yourself. The Latin American restaurant and bar next door to Bask (owned by Bask) called Pomona was a great place, if you fancy a change, to eat and have sundowners! Also a fantastic spot to snorkel from whilst waiting for your Margarita. I was lucky enough to spot two turtles!!

Negative: The property will benefit from having a proper spa. There was only in room treatments available during our stay. The rooms didn’t offer robes, we were very surprised to hear this is not the hotel policy to provide them. One of our evening meal experiences at Bask out of four from start to finish was a complete flop, food came too quickly, the starters and the main courses weren’t separated, white wine was warm, pasta cold and too thick. This was dealt with professionally as soon as we complained. The booking system for the sun beds is a bit annoying, and would have been better if they had explained the system at check-in. However, April was very accommodating and kind to us, and made sure we had a bed secured for our complete stay.

Positive: This hotel is a true gem. From welcome to departure, the hotel team did everything to make the stay awesome. The staff was super friendly, highly attentive and service oriented. We stayed in both the 2BR villa with sea view and the loft villa, both incredibly comfortable, with lots of space and great design details. The hotel restaurant (plus the connected Pomona restaurant) served delicious food.

Negative: Nothing really, but expect slightly higher prices on food than other places on the islands and Bali/Lombok. Most likely a result of less competition on Meno, but the food is top-tier so still great value.

Positive: Really new modern villas with your own plunge pool. The hotel looks onto the beach and is so nicely put together. Service was outstanding, the team were so attentive and accommodating to any small changes.

Negative: Would be nice to have one or two more Indonesian dishes on the menu to try local food but other than that, everything was amazing.

Positive: Beautiful location right on the beach. Excellent pool Villa very comfortable. The hotel pool was excellent, great food and drinks with excellent service.

Negative: The ceiling fans in the room were a bit noisy and the aircon in the room wasn’t strong enough. The temperature of the water in our pool Villa could have been a little cooler.
