Summary: We had a lovely stay at Ballas! Our studio’s balcony faced the sea & had beautiful climbing bougainvillea which offered extra privacy. The kitchen and bathroom fittings are dated but in my opinion add to the cosy charm, and everything is very clean! The garden area is where you can read in the evening while listening to the sea lapping on the rocks. There is access to the sea from the back of the property which is all rock but large bean bag cushions are provided for comfort. Stavros and the housekeeper (whose name I didn’t get!) are both lovely! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay in the ground-floor studio at Ballas Apartments. The courtyard is amazing, and the views looking across Agia Effimia harbour are absolutely incredible. ​Stavros was an exceptional, genuinely helpful host who went above and beyond at all times to ensure we had the best holiday. Location-wise, it’s ideal—we easily drove to Assos and Fiskardo in around 40 minutes. The drive from the airport is straightforward, but a hire car is essential for exploring. Highly recommend this lovely place for a stay in Kefalonia!

Summary: Stavros at Ballas Apartments was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and communicative. The room was basic, but very clean, bed comfortable, it's in an absolutely perfect location with spectacular views. There's private off street parking, and a veranda overlooking the ocean and port. It's close to restaurants, but far enough away from "town" to be quiet. I slept with the balcony door open to let the sounds of water lull me to sleep. This is a hidden little gem in Agia Effimia which was a perfect middle stop between Assos and Sami. I flew into Kefalonia and rented a car, stopped briefly in Argostoli, drove to Myrtos Beach, then on to Assos for dinner. I had to be in Sami the next day, and Ballas Apartments was a perfect place to rest as its about 15-20 minutes from each. I enjoyed a lovely coffee and breakfast at the port before heading out in the morning.

Summary: We were a happily surprised by our stay as the property is much better in person than in the photos. The owner, Stavros, is an incredible host and takes great pride in providing the best experience possible in every way. The common space is a huge, shaded patio with gorgeous plants and comfortable seating overlooking the charming port town. Location is fantastic and a short walk to many restaurants, etc. The bed was super comfortable (unlike so many we’ve experienced in Greece). We loved the island and would definitely return to Ballas!

Summary: Fantastic accommodation with great views over the bay and Ithaca. Made exceptional by the host. Stavros goes out of his way to make your stay special. No surprise to find that people return year after year

Summary: The reception was very pleasant. The private garden and access to the sea are very pleasant. The proximity to the center is very convenient. The large, shady parking lot is a big plus. The geographical location allows short excursions to so many destinations

Summary: I loved staying at Ballas Apartments. The property itself is run by Stavros whos a pretty cool dude. The property overlooks the sea and has an amazing outdoor space you can just chill on a variety of lounges etc and just look at the amazing view. There is also access to the water for a quick dip. The room was spacious and included a small kitchen which was very handy. the bathroom was newly renovated and adequate. Stavros was also so kind in having my earbuds i had left there sent to me in Lassi via a friend of his who is a taxi driver. Free. So that was amazing. Please visit these smaller places rather than the larger conglomerates.. Agia Efimia is so beautiful too. Im glad I decided to stay here instead of Sami.

Summary: Wonderful place to stay. Lovely terrace garden overlooking the sea and the village. Stavros is very welcoming and helpful. Housekeeping and cleanliness was exeptional.

Summary: Such a lovely stay, Stavros is an amazing host, so friendly and helpful, he even let us borrow a beach umbrella! Gave us lots of advice regarding beaches and attractions and he was always welcoming and kind. The rooms are clean and well furnished. We slept comfortably. The location is excellent, Agia Efymia is a little village, very relaxing, ideal if you have a car so you can explore the island.

Summary: Communication with the property is easy and good. The owner is always available and kind. We got a free bottle of water, coffee, tea and wines. We can borrow umbrellas for a day out. The location is beautiful and nice, in the middle of the island and with good beaches around. The bathroom and furniture (not renovated yet) need attention.
