Negative: At check-in, we found that the third bed (a sofa bed) had not been prepared. When we asked about it, the young woman at the front desk informed us that we would need to set it up ourselves. Upon doing so, we discovered food and hair inside the sofa bed, which was unacceptable. When we reported this to her, she responded with complete indifference and handled the matter very poorly. At the very least, she should have arranged for someone to inspect and clean the bed.

Positive: This was a really sweet room. I loved the mountain decor. I loved the in-room soaking tub. The staff and little "store" were very friendly, and it was nice to have some food available, as the lodge is at least 15 minute drive to restaurants or stores, although the items were very expensive. It was nicely located to get to the gondola, Lake Louise and Lake Moraine.

Negative: I learned later that there had been a restaurant "bistro" that was lost to a fire not long ago. I hope they can rebuild that. This property would be perfect with a place to be able to eat and not have to drive to town. It was sad to learn of its demise.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Baker Creek.
