Positive: The pools were beautiful Breakfast was v good. Close to Lucca and Pisa airport Grounds were spectacular …but….

Negative: Limited English spoken, which sometimes made communication difficult. The camera overlooking the Ninfeo pool felt intrusive and uncomfortable. The elderly lady on-site was kind, but she constantly watched everything, which made us feel like we were always being monitored. Guests aren’t allowed to bring food or drinks into their rooms, yet there are very few options available to purchase on-site- and what we had ordered was not great. Drinks were overpriced (e.g., €5 for a small bottle of beer from room fridge - €1 from local shop for large bottle) Dining options nearby are very limited unless you’re willing to drive. The fridge wasn’t very clean, and the shower cubicle showed some mould.

Everywhere I looked, there were thoughtfully designed details, from charming corners to the sight of lemon, orange, and olive trees that added to the serene vibe. The panoramic view of the mountains was absolutely breathtaking and made for an unforgettable backdrop. Breakfast was a highlight of each morning—delicious, varied, and abundant. Everything was fresh, prepared with care, and served with a clear passion for quality. It was a wonderful way to start each day. I had the most wonderful time during my stay and can’t wait to return next year. A heartfelt thank you to the extraordinarily kind staff, whose service was impeccable and made me feel truly welcome. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to this stunning Tuscan haven!

Positive: The bed and breakfast is very clean and cute with a private pool, access is also given to the main mansion house that has a large second pool and beautiful gardens. Breakfast is served in the mansion house.

Negative: Location is not great if you do not have a car as Calci town does not have many restaurant options. Only thing missing on the hotel would be a restaurant for lunch/dinner, but understand there are probably not enough guests to make it worth having a restaurant at the property. Location is otherwise great as being close to Pisa airport and it’s possible to take a bus or taxi there.
