Positive: Slightly off the beaten track. A simple studio apartment with a lovely direct sea view and quiet pool leading to the beach, it felt like a private pool at times. Superb sunset views from the balcony. The direct beach is a bit stoney but there is a nice sandy guarded beach within 5 minute walk. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance if that's what you are looking for and supermarkets within easy reach.
Negative: The apartment is a bit sparse, we moved the furniture layout to make it more practical, and there could have been a comfortable chair to sit in, rather than just dining chairs, there is room. However generally sat out on the balcony until the insects came out at dusk. However as a simple generally comfortable room for two it works.
Summary: We had a lovely time, enjoyed the pool, the view and exploring the area from Rethymno to Heraklion.

Positive: Really cool apartment with huge balcony and great view. AC was working perfectly and the area was quiet. Check-in was easy and contact with owners also. During our stay the room has been cleaned once. They provide a lot of towels (also a beach towel).
Negative: The beach is not properly taken care of, you can't swim there because there is a lot of stones which are dangerous when swimming. There are no umbrellas or sitting area next to the beach (only in the pool area). Additionally, in the rooms and toilets there could be more amenities that were missing. For example night lamps (there was one for whole apartment) and hair dryer and more shelves and cabinets in bathrooms. Pool was nice but the water was very warm (I'm almost sure it wasn't changed). Also watch out when driving there - Google doesn't show the best route. WiFi is indeed available but basically doesn't work.
Summary: We enjoyed our stay and the views but some things could be improved.

Positive: Great place to stay if you want to just chill by the pool. The sunset and sunrises were spectacular. The apartment was simple but spacious, with a huge, lovely balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. For us, the location was good...central Crete; close to the city of Rethymno, an hour's drive from the airport, an hour's drive to Chania, an hour's drive to the south of the island. We had a car which enabled us to visit these parts of the island. There was a nearby, local supermarket, for all your basic needs and more. The cafe across the highway had amazing food. The restaurant of the accommodation complex next door was excellent. Communication and correspondence with the owner and staff was excellent.
Negative: It's not a location you would pick if you want to explore the island and didn't have a car. The beach and surrounding area had rocks which required beach shoes. The pool area, although beautiful and well serviced, would have been spectacular if only the gardens were better attended to. The apartment was serviced only once during our one week stay. We were told that the rooms would be attended to every other day...they weren't. Thank goodness for the washing machine! The rooms require better clothes storage/hanging space. The shower was small with no door/curtain, so water, unavoidably wet the bathroom floor.
Summary: A great location if you intend to explore the beautiful island of Crete by car.
