Summary: Me, my wife and a few other couples / friends all stayed here for a week, and it was absolutely perfect.The villa is incredible - loads of room to spread out, the pool is gorgeous, the view is even better, and all the amenities kept us occupied (table tennis and Nintendo Switch as highlights!). We made good use of the barbecue and all the cooking tools and facilities worked great. The villa is far enough away from others that we could make as much noise as we wanted, but it's also a quick 15 minute walk to the beach, and we also were able to walk into the nearest village and had a delicious meal at the Taverna Poliou House (25 mins).Rethymno town is a short 10 min drive, and our host helped us book taxis no problem (20-25 euros per car).A huge thank you to Sofia and all the hosts who made our stay so lovely, they were incredibly kind and welcoming, we loved the snacks they left us, and we really appreciated the midweek clean and restock! Check in and check out were super easy.We hope to come back again soon, much love!

Summary: Just completed a 10 day family vacation to Villa Daphne. Fabulous villa, great pool and surrounding games area with activities for all ages (our ages ranged from 11 to 75). Our stay benefited from hiring a car. Owner Markos could not have been any nicer or more generous and his interaction with us during our stay could not have been any better. Together with the etouri concierge team they provided excellent guidance, recommendations and assistance both before and during our vacation. We cannot thank them all enough for making this a wonderful stay in Rethymnon. We hope to return!!

Summary: As a mixed group of 8 friends around 30 years old, we wanted somewhere remote enough yet a short drive away from amenities and with an environment to socialise, eat and drink. Firstly, as a host, Markos and the etouri concierge team are outstanding at dealing with absolutely any request and are super easy to communicate with and responsive at almost any time, you feel more looked after by them than if you were in a hotel. The location is great, remote so you can feel comfortable playing music without being conscious of disturbing others and similarly you will not be disturbed there. It’s around 15 minutes drive to get to most places (supermarkets, butchers, beach, restaurants, bars etc.). The inside of the villa is well suited to hosting groups, but the best part is without doubt the outdoor area. It’s social without being cramped for a large group, has a coal bbq station (everything you need to get it going were provided by the host and even cleaned when the villa was during our stay), there are outdoor games around the centrepiece pool (salt rather than a chlorine system), a portable speaker was provided and if that wasn’t all you’ll probably see the best sunset of your life right there.

Summary: Where do we start. We had the most incredible experience from initial contact, to booking, to arrival and then leaving. Sofia greeted us on arrival and told us everything we needed to know about the property. Markos then greeted us on the Monday and Thursday to manage the cleaning process and then the Saturday for our departure. The cleaning and maintenance team were incredible. Markos and Sofia were incredibly hospitable with no end of special treats! Nothing was too much trouble. The property management team provided exceptional service helping us with taxis. The villa is impeccably presented and absolutely perfect for families. We were a family of 10 across 4 couples (8 adults and 2 children under 2). The pool was one of the cleanest we have seen and the outdoor area is exactly as it looks in the pictures. The attention to detail is insane and we literally wouldn't change a thing about the villa and the service we received. The only issue with the location is that you can't really walk anywhere so a car is really essential but then it is totally worth it for the views and the most beautiful sunsets! Thank you so much for making us so welcome and giving us a holiday to remember.

Summary: We have been lucky enough to have stayed in some lovely villas around the world but the Villa Daphne is truly outstanding. We were a family group aged 2 to 65. The villa was perfect for all of us. It is immaculately clean. Furthermore it is cleaned every few days. This includes the house, the towels, the bedding, the whole outside area right down to changing the covers on the outside furniture. Any queries, Markos, the owner will respond within minutes. Markos comes every few days to oversee the cleaning and to personally clean the pool and outside areas. We were left an amazing welcome food package. Throughout our stay Markos brought some delicious treats. The kitchen is well stocked. A real treat was being supplied with thick soft towels. The house has so much for every age group. The outside pool is such a good size. Room for all. Our family made a great deal of use of the indoor pool, partly as it was warm when they woke up early in the morning and partly when it was too hot for them outside. A real bonus. The outdoor dining /bbq area is well kitted out and perfect for family meals. The views were spectacular particularly the sunsets. We found many perfect eating places near the villa and in Rethymno. The food , the service and the people were lovely. We recommend hiring a car also useful for visiting the plentiful excellent local supermarkets. An all round excellent villa. We would highly recommend.

Summary: It's hard to know where to start here. There are so many incredibly positive things to say. Booking: The coordination in booking was seamless, instant responses and detailed answers throughout. Location: Whilst down a bumpy road up hills, it is totally worth it for the simply stunning views and privacy! You need a car or taxi to get around. The Villa: I mean it has everything you could possibly want. Whilst the inside is stunning, and has all the amenities you want, the outside space is what it is all about. Kids and adults alike had things to entertain them, swimming pool, table tennis, air hockey, sun loungers, BBQ and beautiful sunsets/sunrises! The Host: There are not many people on earth as kind and as generous as Markos. His hospitality knows no bounds, super attentive, friendly and just a great human. The Concierge Service: Etouri were the icing on the very large delicious cake! I want them in my life always. Nothing was too much trouble for any one of us. From taxi bookings to restaurant bookings if you need anything they are just a message or a call away.

Summary: The Villa was stunning from start to finish. Communication before and during was outstanding. Upon arriving, we were wowed by the villa, no expense spared and perfectly maintained. For a group of 9 people it had everything we needed from cooking equipment to sun loungers. We all loved our week here which had the most amazing views of the sunset.

Summary: This is the perfect villa for a Crete stay. Ideal for families, large outdoor pool and indoor pool plus plenty of well looked after activities to entertain the kids. Gorgeous sunset views and very well equipped kitchen for cooking (including bbq). Great location for beaches (Bali is great!), shops and restaurants (not far from Rethymno - which is fab too). Villa owner very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable with great advice for what to do/ where to go. Provided us with great local produce for our stay - check out his shop in Rethymno too - Moka - (wish he'd open one in the UK!)

Summary: We have been renting villas across Europe for over 20 years. This was the best by far – simply outstanding!! The villa facilities, especially the outdoor space, were just perfect. Proper sunbeds, games and spacious private gardens. The pool is huge and the salt water filtration so much better than the usual chlorine cleaning. There is a shady spot for any time of the day. It was hard to tear ourselves away to explore the area. The view of the sunset in the evening was just breath-taking. The villa interior has everything you would need for a group of any size. There is a good local supermarket 2 minutes drive away and many good restaurants within a 10 minute drive a - special mention for Paraplous right by the sea with brilliant service and excellent food. Markos, the villa owner, was the perfect host. Kind, generous and helpful beyond any reasonable expectation. He is obviously very proud of Villa Daphne, as he should be, and wanted everything to be perfect. It was spotlessly maintained twice a week by Markos and his team. Markos was ever helpful with suggestions on where to eat, places to visit, and on every visit bearing gifts from his shop in the old town. Who could ask for more ? Etouri's concierge service was an added bonus. Booking restaurants and taxis for an evening out and answering any query or request very promptly and keeping in touch from booking to leaving at the end of our stay. First class communication.
