Summary: Stayed for two nights mid-week. It's really everything you can ask for in a small property so close to the beach, without all the major hotel chain fluff thown in. From the warm check in experience which included going over all amenities such as the pantry, wifi, parking and the welcome basket waiting for you in the room(which items can be exchanged for what you want in the pantry. Water for coke, popcorn for beef jerky. Just swap it, no hassle and nobody to talk to). The room has a full kitchen, a small island table in the middle with a nice Samsung TV and a balcony. The bathroom is famtastic as well with a large soaker tub and his + hers sinks. One thing to note is the toilet doesn't have a lid and it's located directly in front of the shower. As this is an older property that makes sense, just personal preference. In closing: from the curated decor and friendly staff, to the daily homemade croissants, wine tastings and nacho bar(oh and pie time from 8-9!), this is truly the only place you should stay in the Avila Beach, SLO or Pismo area. 11/10

Summary: Amazing Stay! The staff at Avila La Fonda Hotel were incredible—so friendly and welcoming. We loved the homemade croissants in the morning and the pie and ice cream in the evening. Beautiful rooms just steps from the beach, with great food spots nearby. Highly recommend!

Summary: This was our 3rd time staying here...and again its an amazing place. They take care of you and feed you 3 times a day!!! Even during covid...they were excellent and remain that way

Summary: the picture don’t do justice for this hotel. This hotel is so cute, pets are welcome on the first floor, and staff are great. Throughout the day hotel offers pastries, cocktails, pies with ice cream and a charcuterie board with wine. I would definitely recommend and return back with my dog. Paulina is an amazing host made us feel right at home😊

Summary: This property is unique, and the staff members made this visit pleasant. The hotel is small and older, but maintained in excellent condition. The common area and rooms were clean. The location is perfect. The front desk staff member, Paulina, went above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. Our party interacted with her throughout our stay. Paulina gave us recommendations for places to visit and always greeted us with a smile. This type of customer service is a rarity in today's society. The freshly baked pies and croissants were always a good treat. I will be staying here when visiting the area. Paulina, we hope to see you when we come back and with the same enthusiasm.
