Positive: We chose this place for our 3-night, 4-day trip to Chios with my husband and 4-year-old son. The village was so beautiful that if you're looking for peace, quiet, and the sound of birds, you're in the right place. We started our day with a delicious breakfast prepared by our host, George. Our rooms were cleaned very well every day. George asked how we were whenever he saw us, and we even chatted with him late into the night a few nights. He's a wonderful person. Our beds and pillows were very comfortable. We slept so well every night. The stone houses have a natural coolness, and even though it was August, I think we would have been comfortable even without air conditioning. We think the nearby Asteri restaurant is another plus. It was wonderful to have a meal at the lovely restaurant and then walk 30 meters to our house. If you ever come to Türkiye, we'd love to host you like this, George. Thank you for everything.

Positive: The building was lovely and newly renovated, everything was well thought out of excellent quality. The entire property was spotless and the shower had amazing water pressure. Also, the bed was very comfortable. The owner was a perfect host and we also enjoyed the company of his two adorable dogs. Furthermore the village of Avgonima is a lovely place to visit where one can enjoy a beautiful sunset every evening.

Negative: Lots of wasps flying around, but the smoke from burning coffee kept them away during breakfast.

Positive: Location: The hotel is located in the small village "Avgonima", 30 min drive from the Chios city center. There is a really nice Greek tavern 1 minute walk from the hotel. There is also an amazing beach "Paralia Elinta" reachable within a 10 minute drive from the hotel. If you are looking for beaches with sunbeds and restaurants those are also reachable within 20-40 min drives. All the houses in the village look alike (a really nice atmosphere) and the village has an amazing sunset view. It was a very quiet and relaxing holiday for us. Apartments: The rooms are well-designed and maintained. The room is clean. There is a kitchenette in the room, a table and a sofa as well. The beds are very comfortable. Good internet connection both inside of the apartment and in the garden. Breakfast: Breakfast consists of local products and everything from olives to jams, taste great. The host: George is an amazing host. He is very attentive to detail and observant to the needs of the customers. He met any need immediately and gave us daily tips and recommendations about visiting the island.

Negative: These are not negative points about the hotel but just a heads up for future travellers. 1) The village is really small, there is not even a supermarket. So make sure you buy what you need from the city center or other towns once you arrive. 2) The host has two small dogs. They are really nice and usually not interested in other people. But you should be aware of them, in case you have pet allergy and/or phobia.

Positive: George was an outstanding host - incredibly welcoming and helpful; he went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Further, he accompanied us during our tour of the Kambos area on the island and shared with us his vast knowledge of the local vegetation and geography, as well as introducing us to his friends and acquaintances in the area. The rooms were clean and tidy, equipped with everything necessary for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Thank you George, we will be back!
