Positive: We arrived to the lodge and it was absolutely spotless; it was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, and it even had a selection of board games. The beds were comfy and clean. The view from the lodge was absolutely unreal! Only a couples minutes from the nearest footpath for a lovely walk with some amazing views. Roughly 10-15 minutes by car to get to a handful of supermarkets.

Positive: The lodge was beautiful and the attention to detail was amazing, we have stayed at riviera bay for years and this was our first stay at aurobelle lodge and it was stunning one of the best we have stayed in. Carols communication was great and everything was perfect.

Positive: The lodge is wonderful. It’s immaculately clean and in a great location with absolutely breathtaking views from the living room. The beds, quilts, pillows and linen were all great quality and very comfortable, so we slept really well. The towels were lovely and smelt fresh and clean. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need, including good quality glasses, cutlery, cups and crockery. There were lots of lovely little details that made this place stand out from the rest. Absolute 10/10 stay. I don’t think it could have been improved on. We’ll definitely be back.

Positive: From the moment we arrived, this beautiful lodge truly felt like a 10/10 stay. We reached after dark following a long journey, but the place was warm, spotless, and so welcoming. Thoughtful little touches — like milk left in the fridge — made all the difference, and the Christmas tree and lights created a wonderfully festive atmosphere for our New Year’s break. The real magic revealed itself the next morning. Pulling back the curtains to that breathtaking view is something I’ll never forget. Each sunrise brought its own palette of colours reflecting across the water, and every morning felt unique and serene. We were incredibly lucky to spot dolphins playing in the bay in late December, and later in the trip we even saw seals at the Breakwater, just a short drive or scenic coastal walk away. The lodge itself truly is a home-from-home: peaceful, cosy, beautifully clean, and equipped with everything you could need. Carol has created such a special place, and we’re very grateful to her for sharing it. The nearby town of Brixton is friendly and welcoming, with some great restaurants and a lovely local feel. This peaceful haven is somewhere I’d recommend to anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature — and I’d absolutely love to return one day.
