Summary: Note: This is a conference center with widely dispersed residential buildings. Pros: Great breakfast (food and staff). 5 min walk to beach from main check in. Cons: Ours was a very old residential building. Breakfast was 7:30-9. They told us water would be shut off 9-11:30 for maintenance. Checkout was noon. They would not allow late check-out, despite the timing of the water shut- down, making it necessary to essentially be ready to checkout at 8 am. This was annoying and difficult as we checked in after 10p the night prior. They assigned our two rooms one ground floor corner, one 2nd floor opposite corner.

Summary: Great location - older property but I have stayed there before so knew what to expect. Food has gotten pretty pricey in the dining room. Lots of lessons learned for our next trip. Overall good value.

Summary: I felt the hotel was really outdated and smelled like mildew. Pillows were rockhard.. our rooms were across the street away from everyone. Not a lot of lightning outside really dark and the hallways inside were also really dark.

Summary: The location was beautiful, quiet and peaceful, the beach is about 8 min away, walking, and the walk to the beach is very nice and safe, many deer encouters. Room doesn't have TV, it was okay since we didn't spend to much time in the room, but it would have been nice if it had a mini fridge, specially if you have a little one that drinks baby bottles of milk. Room could be better maintained, there was spiderwebs on the ceiling and I got bit by a spider while in bed, the carpet was coming off on the division with the bathroom floor and staples where uncovered.

Summary: Overpriced for the quality. We enjoyed the beautiful architectural design of Julia Morgan. But the property is not well maintained, and it hasn’t been updated inside the rooms. Our room has icky water leak marks at the ceiling and peeling wallpaper. The price is too high for a simple room with no television, coffee maker, microwave, or fridge.
