Negative: Injured by curtain rail falling - 2nd time during the stay, told the lady who checked us out and she did not make any note of injury. The bedroom and bathroom needs refurbishment, the blind in bathroom was broken and not so clean. The ac dripped and as its dark corridor by the door I didn’t see the water on the tiled floor so slipped on it. The breakfast was ok the staff were lovely but as a coffee drinker was disappointed that only instant coffee was available. There are many beggars that pounced on us as soon as we arrived waiting for us to get out of the taxi. At night was approached many times by beggars and ended up going to a store to buy them rice and ghee.

Positive: Location, Staff extremely helpful.

Negative: Attention to detail in room. Room for 2 with kettle and tea/coffee tray, but only one cup and no spoon. No hand towels on first day. Adjoining door had been left unlocked.

Positive: This was the best hotel we stayed at during our entire time in India! As we travelled to 5 cities, we went to many hotels, but Ascot exceeded our expectations! It was very clean, the rooms were very pretty and had a lot of space, we were able to have a room right next to our other family members, the breakfast was complimentary and delicious, the staff was always smiling and friendly (Nayim was especially helpful getting everything we needed), and it was very easy to get a taxi to wherever we needed to go that was farther away. It is in a great location and you can walk to restaurants, shops, and the Gateway of India from here. We look forward to coming back here in the future!
