Positive: Bettina was such a fantastic host! She met us and showed us the facilities, and was able to accommodate an early check-in and late check- out request. She even secured a set of crutches for one of our party who had injured his knee! Not to mention lovely home cooked cookies and a bottle of bubbles! And easy public transport to old town/main train station.

Positive: We have mixed feelings towards this place, because the owners are very nice and welcoming, but the apartment is dated and there are a lot of things to fix or repair. Erwin and Bettina are great hosts, no doubt about it, they left us some seasonal fruit, a prosecco and some homemade jelly, alongside some cantucci which were delicious. We had some issues with the fridge and Erwin was quick to find a solution for us before he managed to fix the fridge door. They also let our son practice his violin during day hours, which was very nice as he was there for a masterclass.

Negative: Beds are very soft, but that has nothing to do with the beds, but us :) There was hardly any heating in the apartment when we came and the afternoon, but especially the evenings was very cold. Erwin did increase the heat, but the living room and the kitchen remained moderately chilly while rooms were warm and we could adjust the heat. Windows are very old, so noise was an issue, especially at dawn when the traffic noise would wake me and my husband up. There are issues with the fridge door which need a permanent solution as well. Overall, the apartment was clean, but seems ran down and in need of some investments. We felt like the price of over 1000 euros for 4 nights was a bit too much for such an accomodation, especially because we have been coming to Salzburg for the past 10 years and stayed at some amazing places for the same price.

Positive: The host is super nice. We were so touched to see the host welcoming us at the house entrance while we were looking up google map to search the house. We were much amazed by the decent decoration and welcoming fresh flowers, a full basket of fruits. In the fridge, there are homemade jam, wine and sparkling water. The next morning, the host prepared fresh sandwiches for us. We appreciate her hospitality and love indeed! The beds are comfortable and bathroom is clean and big, sitting room is lovely with large comfortable sofa. It’s close to bus stop, just 10-15 mins to old town and train station.

Negative: No complaints at all! Don’t miss it!

Positive: The apartment is located in a nice area with amazing Alpine views from the balcony and windows of the living room and the bedroom. It was a very cozy stay for us as the apartment was equipped with luxurious amenities which enhanced our travel experience to Austria. There's a supermarket and public transportation access right next to the apartment and the city attractions are quite accessible. You could easily spot Castle Hohensalzburg right as you step put of the apartment. Moreover, our host was amazing. She greeted us on our arrival and had prepared home made cookies and jam for us (very tasty). She made our check in, check out and our entire stay very smooth and enjoyable.

Negative: There's nothing to dislike about this apartment.

Positive: We have stayed in several places during our Europe trips and we agree that Bettina's apartment is the best of them all. We came in late at night and she came out to give us the key and some homemade pastry and jams. There were even fruits on the kitchen counter. Her place was nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was clean with walk-in shower and washer. Kitchen has everything a house should have. Even a first-aid kit. The owner lives next door and she was always available when we needed something. There was no AC but that is how most places in Austria are. During our stay the weather was cool enough and we all slept so well with the windows opened. The place has many windows with good ventilation. We felt very safe at night. We drove about 15 min to the Old Town area from her place. Our stay at Salzburg was one of the best experience. After a long day walking, we were happy to be back to the apartment and get comfortable, unlike some other places we have been to. . Highly recommended if you are in Salzburg.
