Positive: It was like a little hippster place that was very modern and had everything you need. The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming and we even received a free welcome drink at the cute café that also serves as the reception. We always had a nice talk when we arrived and appreciated the help we got to find a place to eat and where to go for coffee, since it was a bit hard to find something due to a long weekend and places being closed. We loved our stay there every second.

Positive: The host was very welcoming and kind. The facilities were clean and comfortable and there is a nice cafe to have breakfast. A good location to nearby areas such as sounkyo gorge and not too far to Asahikawa/Biei. Recommended!

Negative: I probably should have stayed here longer than a night.

Positive: Excellent location in a relatively small town. Reasonably comfortable and flexible with comings and goings. Nice staff. Lobby cafe and bar which suits the harsh weather. Free drink on arrival. Cheap.

Negative: Single showers and toilet for each gender to cover the whole 2nd floor. Relatively cramped room especially due to the layout. Cramped mandatory staircase.

Positive: The host was very kind, with very good English. He showed us a recommended place for dinner, (even walked with us to make sure we understood him completely). The place was spot clean, warm and all the facilities were exceptional. We had a great time, and highly recommend the place. On the first floor there is a very cool place that serves handmade bagles and coffee, absolutely delicious!

Positive: Super beautiful hotel, warm, functional, clean, comfortable. We loved everything, including the welcome drink and the complimentary onsen towel (although there is no onsen).

Negative: Just to write one thing - similarly to 90% of places in Japan, the blinds don't block light, so at 5am in July, it was already very bright in the room

Positive: Very warm welcome and friendly staff. Everything is clean and proper for hostel stay. The breakfast is good. Homemade bagel was superb. They have shared kitchen too.

Negative: Not really. It is very small town so good for only stay and go to National Park
