Positive: I liked the central position of the hotel in the city. The breakfast was tasty but the hourly slots were confusing. The staff was helpful as a tourist.

Negative: I didn't like that the bath and shower were combined in my room - just a shower would have been a better option. The breakfast was quite expensive and I had to pay an extra city tax at the end which was unexpected.

Summary: I would recommend staying here for a good experience of Alkmaar

The rooms are generously sized, and the ability to open the windows for fresh air is a huge plus. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and their Green Stay Policy is both thoughtful and effective. The in-room coffee is also a standout.

Negative: The shower-over-bath setup feels a bit dated. And maybe a daily refill of the coffee cups as due to the Green Stay Card, the supply of coffee cups is also skipped. Maybe card with: No Service Needed but Coffee is Always Welcome!
