Positive: La amabilidad del personal, súper bien. Muy atentos con todo. En la habitación con aire acondicionado se estaba fresquito. Las instalaciones genial, incluso nos permitieron usar la cocina.

Negative: A modo de mejora, la piscina requeriría un poco más de limpieza, aunque entendemos que con las tormentas que hay frecuentemente es difícil. Un poco de ruido por las mañanas, pero nada destacable.

Positive: I brought my neice here for her high school graduation gift and she loved it. The location was great, just an 8 minute walk from the beach and 10 minute car ride from El Tunco. The property is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were very nice and the staff were top notch, what ever you needed they made sure you got it. You will see the owner there working the grounds, he is super nice. The lounge areas were super comfortable and cool to hangout in. The beds and pillows were comfortable and A/C worked well. There is no hot water which is typical in the area, but the cold water actually felt good after a long hot day at the beach.

Negative: The doors are not flush to the ground which lets bugs crawl easily under the door, especially at night time. I had to put towels under the door to stop this. During the day it is not bad, but many bugs come out at night.

Summary: 3rd time in El Salvador

Positive: It's a cute spot that's a bit removed (like, you have to cross the main road) from the beach area of El Zonte, but still only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. That's perfect for me. I don't want to constantly be in the middle of everything, but I like to be nearby. The pool was nice, and I enjoyed laying out in the cabana facing the jungle too.

Positive: Great place to stay, only a 5/10mins walk to restaurants in El Zonte and the beach. Also very close to the main road with is where the bus to San Salvador passes through. The room was clean, the staff were very friendly and the pool was great!

Positive: This place is amazing, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, we were able to boil water for coffee, its incredibly beautiful and the creek running behind the hotel is an extra nice touch!

Positive: Amalfi Lodge is brand new (weeks old), and the staff are eager to help and make a good impression. The owners were very helpfull and they and the staff were very attentive. There is a small fridge where you can save drinks, and the fruit and vegetable trucks come by regularly if you want anything to eat in your room. This is not on the beach, but is a short walk past restaurants and shops so we never felt like we were too far away. The beach is very hot so we found ourselves going down for lunch and dinner, going for a walk and swim a couple of times a day and then coming back to the lodge to lounge by the pool and relax. They have lots of locations to lounge, cool down and relax (not 12 pools, but the one they show in the image is lovely).

Negative: Nothing, this is a bit out of the way, but that also means that it is quiet and away from the hubub of rhe beach. Having said that, the beach is beautiful, we went to El Tunco and Sans Blas and we preferred El Zonte. It is a bit smaller but there is more to explore and the restaurants are mainly right on the beach. Great relaxed vibe.

Summary: El Zonte is a great beach and Amalfi Surf Lodge is great value, close to the beach yet quiet.
