Positive: Every other holiday we’ve taken officially sucks compared to Altemooi. Hotels with “mountain views”? Cute—try actual wildlife strolling past while you drink coffee in your pajamas. Resorts that promise “privacy”? Please. At Altemooi the privacy is so intense, I wasn’t sure if civilization still existed. The place is so clean that if you dropped food on the floor, the floor would apologize. Amenities? Forget packing—show up with nothing but flip-flops and a bag of biltong, you’ll survive like royalty. My wife hand-fed the game and nearly ditched me for an antelope boyfriend. Honestly, I wouldn’t blame her—those things are majestic. This wasn’t just a honeymoon reboot—it was therapy, safari, spa, and witness protection program rolled into one. 10 stars. Everyone else can keep their crowded resorts and noisy guesthouses—we’ll be over here living our best life at Altemooi.

Negative: Absolutely nothing. If we tried, we might have to invent problems just to fill this section. Everything was perfect—spotless, peaceful, well-stocked, and stress-free. Honestly, I think the universe might be taking notes.

Positive: It is so quiet and peaceful, you completely forget about work and stress as if its a past life. We stayed with friends of ours and all of us said we will definitely be coming back. Every amenity you need was there from Doom to coffee. We absolutely loved it.

Negative: We would suggest to bring a fan with for these warm summer months because it get very hot for us Jozi people .
