Positive: It was close to the subway station and easy to find through Naver Map. The hotel is a few minutes walk from a lot of shopping areas.

Negative: Nothing.

Summary: It was a wonderful experience at alma Hotel! The staff was nice and check in/ check out was easy. The room was clean

Positive: The main point of this small hotel is the location. It is actually walking distance from the Gwanghwamun Square, and the DDP is practically next door. All the best market places are close as well. So if you for any reason do not want to take the metro, this location is perfect. Also the metro connections are very good to everywhere one would like to go, with the metro entrance just a dozen meters away from the hotel door. I also liked that there was a microwave in the corridor, and the sound proofing. The sound proofing actually worked and I could sleep peacefully all nights we spent in the hotel with my sister (not so typical for Seoul). Also not typical for Seoul was that the room in this price range and at this location had an actual window. You could even open the window. A definite plus.

Negative: My sister complained that the bed was very hard. I personally prefer hard mattresses so it was ok for me, but she was not that much of a fan. It was also noticeable that the cleaning was done in rudimentary way. What I mean by that is, that the bedding and the general floor area was clean, but for example in the far corners and on the toilet tank you could see dust. There was an option that you could ask the cleaning done during the longer stay, but we did not use it, so I cannot comment on its usefulness.

Summary: A small and decent enough hotel in a very good location with affordable prices.
