Positive: It was a unique experience. We were treated so well and got to learn the history of the house and family. We were in Winona for a family wedding and decided to stay here. Having grown up in Winona we had passed the house but never had a chance to go inside. Richard is an excellent cook and host! The wonderful breakfast gave us time to have interesting conversations with the other guests.

Positive: The breakfast was great and an unexpected find, the service even better. Delightfully appointed rooms and nice amenites.

Negative: Minor issue but mattress seemed to sink in the center. We stayed in Marthas room.

Summary: We are planning a return trip to enjoy the beautiful property and kind Richard.

Positive: The owner, and host, Richard was exceptionally kind and accommodating. The rooms were beautifully decorated to match the period of the house, while still having all of the desired modern amenities. With amazing rooms, and a delicious 4 course breakfast prepared by the host himself, this was more than worth the money paid.

Positive: This is mine and my boyfriends third time staying here. It is immaculate! The decor in the main area is lovely. We stayed in the room downstairs called Judge Wilson. It was super spacious and comfortable. Our hosts Richard and David are wonderful. Richard serves all the guests a homemade breakfast that is just so delicious every time. We have also stayed in the room called Martha and it is also very very beautiful. It is a great place to just get away and relax. I can't say enough positive things. We already booked another stay here in August.
