Positive: Reem Desert Camp. The staff was very friendly and tried to feel comfortable. Our room was very clean and traditionally furnished. The camp is beautiful. I love this camp and have been here for the third time. We did a desert tour with Dunes Passion in the afternoon. During the tour we could watch a falcon when feeding. We were offered traditional Omani coffee with dates. Our Guide Marsud then brought us to a traditional Bedouin. It was a unique experience for us. Simply indescribable. After dinner, which was very tasty, we sat around the campfire. After breakfast we did a camel trekking tour. Two Bedouin teenagers led us. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend the accommodation. It was like in 1001 nights. Many thanks to the staff for hospitality.Absolutely recommended.

Positive: We didn't want to go to deep into the desert this time, so this was perfect, it's just on the edge. The rooms are nice and spacious and there is plenty of activities for the kids especially. A very quiet and peaceful place. We stayed on new years eve and they had a very small celebration with cake cutting and everyone got a rose!!

Negative: The breakfast was terrible, I mean really bad and the dinner was not even worth eating. The staff had a tendency to disappear so for most of the time you are totally on your own. We asked for tea and was told it will be served near the fire after dinner, we along with a couple of other families waited for an hour or so and after not being able to find the staff left for our rooms, in the morning apparently they bought the tea but we wasn't there!!

Summary: Its ok - they really need to improve the food and the staff need to be more readily available.

Positive: We love this little camp. Have stayed many times. It's very simple but the location is perfect and not too far into the dunes. Staff are more than helpful and try really hard to make you enjoy it.

Negative: I think they need to market their camp better. The last two visits was only us at the camp. I know it's hard to set up camp in the desert, but they could make the shower/toilet a bit more comfortable. Nowhere to put your shower stuff except on the floor. Also the mattresses are uncomfortable. Probably need replacing. The breakfast wasn't to our liking, I don't want curried anything first thing in the morning, and they need a coffee machine. I don't want instant with condensed milk....

Summary: Its a real cute stopover for the night
