Negative: I stayed here for two days and had a mixed experience. The first disappointment was the delayed airport pickup. I had to wait for more than 40 minutes despite sharing my arrival time and flight details well in advance. The manager was apologetic, but it seems this isn’t an isolated case since my colleague who arrived a day earlier went through the same delay. The breakfast options were very limited, and there’s definitely room for improvement in the variety offered. On the positive side, the room was cleaned daily, and the receptionists speak good English, which made communication easier. However, being right on the highway means it’s quite noisy. If you’re a light sleeper like me, you might struggle to rest well. But if you’re not bothered by traffic noise, that might not be an issue. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the African Union Offices, which is great if you have meetings there. However, it’s a bit far from the city centre and the airport, so keep that in mind when planning your travel. Overall, it’s an okay place for a short stay, but there’s a lot that could be improved especially in terms of punctuality for pickups and breakfast variety.

Positive: Breakfast was very good.

Negative: There was a lot of music/noise from the bazaar held at the back of the hotel. This is certainly NOT the fault of the hotel management.

Positive: I tried breakfast on day one but the fact that you had to select from the menu was limiting, I had expected a buffet set up. I loved the reception, being picked and dropped to the airport was awesome. The manger upgraded my room which I found so kind.

Negative: The bathroom had some leakage I think which should be fixed. I don’t think the beddings were ever changed. I’m very keen on such.

Positive: Very happy with my stay at the Afro Legacy hotel, the entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful during the entire stay. The hotel manager himself picked me up at the airport, they were very responsive with questions asked regarding hotel transfers before my arrival. The food was also delicious! Would definitely recommend this hotel and plan on returning for my next trip to Addis
