Salomons Estate is a Victorian Manor House, set in 36-acres of gardens and woodland, that hosts weddings, events and conferences. Located on the edge of Tunbridge Wells, the estate is a 10-minute drive from Tunbridge Wells town center and train station, making it a sub hour journey to central London. Complimentary parking and WIFI are included for all guests. Salomons has 6 self-catered cottages, that range from 1-bedroom to 5-bedrooms. We also have 47 bedrooms with attached bathroom on-site, located in two purpose-built buildings just further up the hill from the Manor House. Our 3* AA accredited bedrooms are fully equipped with a TV, telephone, hairdryer as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Dogs are not permitted in our standard accommodations bedrooms.

Positive: Comfortable bed. Great breakfast.

Negative: The room a little stark. The road up to the block very narrow, I was grateful no car was coming in the opposite direction. Larger cups for tea and coffee at breakfast would have been lovely. Better still little tea pots for tea.

Positive: The location and grounds were stunning.

Negative: The garden cottages all look out to a wall and the path to and from all the cottages. A road the other side of the wall. The cottage had a musty smell on arrival - as if it hadn’t been used in a while. The shower made an awful noise before adjusting it to make the noise stop. Not a single person greeted us at breakfast, just large tables to sit 8 or so for 2 of us. Lacked atmosphere and warmth.

Summary: We had high expectations which were not met sadly.
