Summary: Spent a week at this property in January 2023. Secluded and serene location and not difficult to reach if you have a vehicle. Beautiful long beach in front of the property with very few to mostly no other people present. Well appointed, lovely and spacious casita. Very responsive and conscientious hosts. Don’t miss the opportunity to go snorkelling via Cabo Pulmo, to a protected UNESCO coral reef site (15 minute drive north of casita). On a beautiful day we saw humpback whales, sea lions, dolphins and many colourful fish amongst the healthy coral reefs. We plan to visit again (but maybe at a less windy time of year).

Summary: If you are looking to "get away from it all" then this is your place. The only thing I can complain about at this place is that it is too perfect! I recommend using the offer to have the meet and greet so you can find the place. I would not have been comfortable trying to get there unguided. Once there the absolute seclusion is magical! The dogs are great but Chake has an issue. She has a foot fetish and she needs professional help! NO, but they are both friendly if you want them around. We did and they were great companions. I suggest shopping at the supermarket on the way in so you don't have to go anywhere once you get there. We took a daily ride in our rented Jeep (I suggest renting a Jeep since it is about an hour's drive on dirt roads that can be very bumpy). Cabo Pulmo is nearby but their idea of a store is to make one of the shelves in a person's kitchen into a snack shelf! Definitely this place is the answer to the problem of life's hectic pace. Bring books to read and enjoy the water (a little too cold for our taste) and the solitude. The water down by Cabo Pulmo is warmer than the water that is near the place but it is tolerable after you get acclimated to it. We were treated very kindly by the owners and the caretakers at the place so we highly recommend them as well. What else can I say? The place is perfect but don't rent it because I want it to be available for my wife and myself when we have another vacation!

Summary: I'll be brief. Fishing was great as was the snorkeling. The place is very remote. There is no running to the store once u are there. It's an hour+ for supplies. We brought a big cooler, but the fridge is a mini fridge and cannot hold much, which is a bummer as it's hard to get ice and we were there for 7 days. While on the beach, it get tiresome bringing things up and down the hill over and over. Chairs, kayaks etc. We're mid 30's. Older people may not be able to get the kayaks to the beach to launch alone. The apartment is an attached garage so there are no views out the one window really. We used the big house porch, but if someone is there I guess you don't have one? Nice spot for us, but small fridge and up and down the hill all day made it challenging. I think it's too pricey too. If remote is what you want, book this.

Summary: Very private and relaxing, away from the all-inclusive - very little packing required! About 20 minutes from Cabo Pulmo and a couple great restaurants. Great swimming and snorkeling just a short walk to the beach on site and nearby beaches you can drive to. Terrific beach walks, stars amazing, sunsets - wow! Was a bit windy in early March - but saw whale spouting, flying fish, lots of pelican and seabirds riding the breezes - and a donkey running down the beach! Casita is cozy and perfect for 2. Good satellite tv (when/if you tire of star gazing) but very little cell reception - which was fine with us.

Summary: At first we were concerned that we might be a little too "off the grid" when looking at renting this casita, we took a risk and booked it for our anniversary getaway and we were SO GLAD we did. The casita wasn't difficult at all to get to, we did have the meet and greet service which was very helpful in finding our way, but for the adventurous it's not a difficult drive. High clearance vehicle is advisable, but we did see several small cars making the drive even on the dirt section. It's 14 miles off pavement, but mostly a well graded road (coming from the north). I brought my speargun and was able to swim off the beach to the reefs right in front of the casita and shoot fresh fish everyday, also watched many many humpback whales swimming by, breaching, and doing their famous "tail lobbing" so beautiful the life in the sea here is amazing. We visited in february so the winds were blowing pretty hard most of the time we were there, but it did lay down for a couple days and we were able to take the kayaks out - so great that they are included in the rental - and they are in good shape, ocean going. Only thing was in the pictures there was an area set up under the beachside palapa with hammock and chairs to relax, etc but when we got there the chairs were stored away and it appeared as though we were meant to stay at the casita rather than the beachside palapa. We made the most of it however, and found some folding chairs in the casita we carried over to the palapa and were able to enjoy the whales and the view a little more fully. The resident caregivers and dogs - Chaky, Fausto and Mina were warm and caring, we even had the blessing of sharing a meal together. They brought the fresh made tortillas and we brought the fish! It was an awesome trip, if you like secluded beauty, private and pristine beaches and to gaze upon the blue beautiful sea in a clean and comfortable casita, this rental might be for you. Thank you again we hope to be back-

Summary: What a wonderful place to visit. My husband and a WONDERFUL time visiting Cabo Pulmo area. The casita was perfect for the two of us. Easy access to the beach for snorkeling, kayaking, beachcombing and relaxing walks. Only a short drive to Los Frailes to purchase fresh fish from the local fisherman. Can't beat fresh fish on the bbq every night for dinner. Appreciated having use of kayaks, beach umbrella's, beach towels, snorkel gear. The caretaker lives nearby and was always available to help if needed, but otherwise respected our privacy. The resident dogs are so sweet. Every morning Chaky would come say good morning and follow us on our walks and kayaking trips. Loved having them around. We definitely will be recommending the casita to our friends and have already decided we would like to return in the future. Just a great place all around!

Summary: Looking for an (almost) off the grid vacation? You've found it! Soft white sand under your feet, brilliant stars overhead. The well appointed kitchen will not disappoint those that enjoy cooking, sea kayaks are a fun way to explore the shores, and Cabo Pulmo is a short scenic drive away. We will return!

Summary: This was the best possible vacation for my wife and I. Easily accessible from Cabo San Jose airport, but enough off the beaten track for undisturbed peace and quiet in a beautiful place. The casita is very comfortable, with an unobstructed view of the beach. We went to sleep listening to the sounds of the ocean. Stunning night sky with no light pollution. A stones throw to the beach for swimming, walks or sundowners. Amenities our excellent. Appreciated having use of kayaks, beach umbrella's, beach towels, snorkel gear. The caretaker lives nearby and was always available to help if needed, but otherwise respected our privacy. It is an easy 1.5 hour drive to get there from the airport, but advisable to have a high clearance vehicle for the dirt road stretch. The dirt road is generally good, but we encountered some 1'-2' deep puddles between Los Frailes and the Casita. Observe the speed limits and look out for cows. The owners can provide a meet and greet service at the airport for those needing extra help. And finally there is Chake, the resident dog that took care of us. Gentlest and politest soul I have ever met, she accompanied us on many walks, or dug up and chased the hapless little beach crabs from their burrows We hope to be back.

Summary: This was our second trip to Cabo Pulmo (came for diving) and we fell in love. For this trip, we decided to stay a little further from town because we had explored the area of Los Frailes on our prior trip. We love nature and adventure so being on our own pristine and 'private' beach was fantastic! The east cape landscape is phenomenal. The sunrise and sunsets were amazing. The casita was very comfortable and well-appointed. Ruben, the caretaker is there on-site for anything you might need. The town is a short drive away...good restaurants serving fresh and delicious seafood (pretty much all we ate) and the people are very warm and friendly. If you want a relaxing beachfront vacation that feels like a real escape, this it it! We'll be back in the spring.

Summary: If beauty, seclusion, ruggedness, and quiet is what you want, this is the place. This place ranks in my top 5 places I have stayed--EVER. We saw up to a dozen whales (we were there mid-March) on any given day. Cabo Pulmo Marine Park has an incredibly lovely coral reef that can be viewed just by walking into the water a bit. There are a few really good restaurants in Cabo Pulmo, and the people are wonderful. Don't forget to take your binoculars--we forgot ours but the owners loaned us theirs. Our time there was just what we needed, given our incredibly busy schedule back home. I intend to return to this "find"--a beautiful sea with desert mountains as a backdrop.
