Summary: This charming holiday apartment really was a dream come true! I had spent months researching a place to stay in Garmisch and decided on the Holiday Home Hintermair. We were not disappointed! It was everything we had hoped for and so much more! My husband and I spent a month here and from the moment we stepped inside, it felt like home! We were warmly greeted by David and Gina. They showed us around and instructed us how to use the tv, dishwasher and washing machine. They had wine and chocolates waiting for us which was so sweet of them! Honestly, you couldn't ask for nicer hosts! They were there if you needed them, but also gave you your privacy. The aparment made you feel like you were in a German fairy tale, but with all the modern conveniences! It was very clean, very comfortable and very quiet! We loved the cute kitchen, the private backyard and the views were absolutely stunning! Just perfect and adorable! The location was ideal, close to a pretty river walk, a bakery, many good restaurants and town was an easy 20 minute walk away. We loved EVERYTHING about it!!! You will too! We could not think of one negative! It's that nice! Thank you David and Regina for opening your home to us and for all the kindness you showed us!

Summary: Regina and David, We spent a wonderful 2 weeks in your cosy house. It made us feel at home immediately. After our cycling and walking trips, it was the ideal place to relax. Out of our 4 holidays in Garmisch, it was by far the most outstanding residence. We never met a kitchen with such an amazing set of kitchen utensils as yours. The quietness (by day and night) of the neighbourhood, is another major asset. Your property can be highly recommended to all holiday guests looking for a perfect accomodation in Garmisch. Summary: Arrival 18.07.2015 Departure 25.07.2015 My husband and I stayed here for a week in summer while travelling for a month in France, Germany and Austria. Easily the best accommodation we've ever rented, we didn't want to leave. Clean, spacious and combining both Bavarian charm and a sense of the modern the house is truly perfect, the lovely private garden rounds off everything. Easily big enough for 4 people it was luxury for just the two of us. Definitely recommend.

Summary: Wonderful accommodation in a wonderful location. The house is beautifully constructed solid wood with spectacular mountain views from the balcony and garden with the only sounds to be heard the chirping of the birds. No attention to detail has been missed by the owners Gina and David who live next door, especially in the kitchen where it actually makes fun to cook even while on holiday. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Summary: Our group of two couples recently returned from Bavaria, where we rented the Holiday Home Hintermair for four nights. Regina and David were perfect hosts and the house was nearly perfect. David promptly answered my many email questions in the months prior to our arrival in Garmisch- Partenkirchen. Regina met us at the house and took our luggage upstairs. David took us on a quick tour of the city. The house met most of our expectations and is properly represented by the photographs on the Home Away website. The only disappointment was that there was no clothes washer or dryer as advertised. We had to take the laundry to a local washeteria, which was inconvenient, time consuming and an extra expense. On the positive side: The rooms were large, beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms actually sparkled, the stairs were very manageable and the neighborhood was exceptionally quiet. The kitchen was more that fully equipped and great for daily breakfast. The mountain views from the garden and the balcony were fabulous. A bakery, Dunzinger, is just around the block, with wonderful breakfast selections. A tiny deli/market/flower shop is across from the bakery. For heavier groceries, Tengelmann’s is three bus stops (5 minutes) on Zugspitzstrasse, the main road toward Marienplatz. This is a full service super market and their cheese selection is awesome. The bus service is great and covers the city well. The bus pass that is included with the rental was invaluable for travelers without a car. We used the bus extensively; the stop is a block away (near the deli) on Zugspitzstrasse. We used the bus to travel to the Partnachklamm Gorge. Exit the bus at the Olympic ski jump stop (Olympia-Skistadion). All said, we enjoyed the house, our hosts and the area. We hope that we can return someday and they will have added the sorely missed washer and dryer.
