Summary: This VRBO was absolutely amazing! It was the perfect place for a girls’ weekend with family and friends to celebrate my sister’s and my birthday. The house was so charming and had everything we needed—and more! The location was ideal, making it easy to get to everything we wanted to do while still feeling like a peaceful country retreat. We were less than 10 minutes from anything we needed, but it felt like a hidden getaway. Truly the best weekend ever! I cannot recommend this place enough and would love to stay here again!

Summary: My husband, daughter and son-in-law stayed at River Road Retreat this past weekend. This quaint country home is so much better than the pictures. It feels like home away from home. The home is beautifully and tastefully decorated. The yard is well kept and so serene. We spent most of our time in Gruene. Great location! Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the outdoors. Everything was clean and in working order. Everything we needed was there. Plenty of parking for larger groups. Can't wait to go back.

Summary: This home and location are the complete package! The warm, cozy, charming, tranquil atmosphere, both inside and outside, makes for a very comfortable stay! The rooms are spacious, and beautifully decorated with unique pieces that are interesting, soothing and inspirational! The kitchen is well-equipped for the needs of one or a group! The outside amenities allow for of a variety of games, cooking on the grill, or communing with nature (including watching for the regular visitors of deer and cardinals)! The distance to the other area amenities makes the River Road Retreat Farmhouse a wonderful place for a family to relax and enjoy the time together, and the area! Kudos to the owners who have thought of everything needed to make the RRR Farmhouse a wonderful place to stay! Thank you for providing this rental! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time spent there!

Summary: My daughter was graduating from TXST and we had grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins in from out of town. River retreat was absolutely awesome. There was enough room for all family and we were able to grill out for the celebration instead of trying to make reservations for 10-12 people. We played corn hike, ladder ball and watched deer from the back yard area. Even my 80 year old mom - who had never used itrip- said it was perfect. I HIGHLY recommend this property!
