In central Italy, in the heart of the production area of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine, near the beaches of the Adriatic Sea and the verdant mountains of the National Park of Maiella, a cosy villa for your holidays, sleeps from 2 to 16 persons. A perfect place to relax, an ideal base to discover Italian art, wine food nature and touring.
The villa is entirely anti-seismic and eco-friendly. The walls are 80 cm thick with insulating coating and guarantee perfect insulation against both heat and cold.
The upstairs rooms are equipped with air conditioning.

Summary: What a beautiful place to end our travels in Italy. The region of Abruzzo is stunning and the villa is well appointment and ideal for a large group to spread out. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything needed to prepare and enjoy meals indoors or a La fresco in the lovely gardens. We visited during Pasquetta and were so well taken care of by Silviu and his wife who own a little cafe and pizzeria in town, the pizza was some of the best we had. There is so much to see in the neighboring towns and we highly recommend the hike to see the Cascada di San Giovanni. Although we were visiting while the pool was not open we still were able to enjoy sitting on the lounge furniture to relax and take in the sunshine. We highly recommend staying here and wish we could have had a few more days to take in more of the sights of the area.

Summary: We added this stop to the end of our two week Italian vacation of the big cities. It was just what our family needed to decompress. The owners were extremely kind and helpful and the house is so very impressive. The pool was great for the kids and the Adriatic Sea is a nice drive through the countryside if you want a beach day. We hopefully will be back in the future. It is a big house for 4, but it gave our family a chance to spread out after our long vacation together!

Summary: We were a group of 15 family and friends visiting the Abruzzo region and Villa Carlucci was just perfect. We cooked as a group almost every night and the long table in the kitchen was perfect for all of us to gather around. Dr. Carlucci was wonderful - very easy to communicate with and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and areas to explore. The Villa and grounds were beautiful and very well kept and we loved our stay! Highly recommend!

Summary: We travelled in a relatively big group with friends and family members in three generations. It happened to be a rainy day when we arrived to Villa Carlucci but the warm atmosphere created by Signora and Dottore Carlucci felt like sunshine. The villa is big and well kept and accommodation easily even a bigger group. The area is very peaceful and within an easy stroll to the village. The villa lies by a village road but the traffic is very scarce. San Martino S.M. is a small village with good connections to Parco Nazionale della Majella which hosts numerous possibilities for easier and more demanding hikes. We were lucky to see even some chamois there. Villa Carlucci is a perfect place to stay with friends and family in the peace of Abruzzeze countryside.

Summary: We very much enjoyed our week at the villa. We were a large group and there was plenty of space. the rooms were very spacious. The pool was fantastic as were the gardens. We also enjoyed walking to the village for supplies and to use the local pizzeria. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Overall we had a fantastic stay.

Summary: Thank you for the owner Dr Antonio Carlucci who made our stay very nice and memorable and who also organized delicious dinner at villa. The Villa was clean and the rooms were really spacious. Garden and swimming bool was big and tidy to play football and jumping. There were four local restaurants within walking distance, only bad thing was that they opened at 8pm. We can recommend this to all who wants to have a taste of local Italy.

Summary: Our group (3 families - 13 people) had fantastic holiday in Villa Carlucci. We spent there 2 weeks. The house and the backyard is very large and well equipped and very well-maintained. There is enough bedrooms, tables, chairs, sunbeds, etc. for such a large group. The house is located outside the village which is great as the guests do not disturb any neighbours, but also not too far, so you can walk to do some shopping in the morning (there is a small sumermarket in the village where you can buy basic products). Our hosts, Vincenzo and Antonio, were very hospitable and friendly, they reacted immediately if we needed anything. Abruzzo is beautiful region (mountains, seaside, old charming towns and villages, excellent food and nice people) - that was out first vist but definitely not last. We can recommend visiting Abruzzo and villa Carlucci to everyone. One thing which should be taken into considerationby the owners - July 2015 was extremely hot. The house gives some coolness but not enough. They should think about providing some electric airconditioners or something similar.
