Positive: A beautiful quiet secluded location, but close to a lot of places to visit, and no more than 10 minutes from anything we needed really. The house - cottage? - was clean, tidy, welcoming and unfussy. The hosts made us most welcome, leaving some light provisions for us, which was really kind, and they had organised the ferry for us too. The house is well equipped, and it would seem that nearly everything had been thought of for all eventualities. Given it is winter, it was too cold to take advantage of the rather lovely garden, which must be very beautiful later in the year, but we did get to see the red squirrels about, which was joyful. As it was, we had a really comfortable stay, and would certainly love to return at some point. It was rather special.

Positive: The whole building layout was well planned out. Turning it into an upside down house so you can enjoy the view from the window over breakfast and even see the local Red Squirrel in the garden. The hosts had everything you needed with a welcome package of bread, butter, milk, eggs, assorted jams and even a bottle of wine to welcome you in. You have a great mix of the country feel, but it's an £8 taxi into Ryde at night if you want the nightlife, but it's equally as nice having a meal and a drink at the Boathouse just down the road by Puckpool Park. Whether you're going as a family, a couple or with friends, the Mews is a perfect base for all your needs.
