Perfect for couples, friends and families the apartment has central heating that can be controlled by Hive heating thermostat, and enjoys sea views; it is also within a few minutes’ walk from a seafood restaurant, coffee shop and local shops.
Situated in the conservation village of St Monans, it is a great place to explore with quaint lanes, fishermen’s houses and a historic church. Just at the edge of the village there is a windmill that used to power the salt panning industry. Join the Fife Coastal Path that leads either way to attractive old fishing villages, sandy beaches, secluded coves and historic buildings with plenty of places to stop off for refreshments.
It is an ideal location for golfers who will be spoilt for choice with more than 40 golf courses in Fife. St Andrews, ‘the Home of Golf’, is a mere 12 miles away with championship courses to play as well as family friendly courses. Within 10 minutes’ drive the local coastal courses at Anstruther, Elie and Leven all provide unique golfing experiences with spectacular coastal views.
For days out Anstruther offers a great selection of places to eat from award-winning fish and chip shops to a Michelin star restaurant, ice cream parlours and cafés. From April to September there are daily ferries and boat trips leaving from the harbour that take you to the Isle of May National Nature Reserve, home to colonies of sea birds including puffins, and the surrounding waters are the habitat of seal colonies. If you are interested in the history of the area the Scottish Fisheries Museum at the harbour side is well worth a visit.
After all of this sea air you will be looking for a good night’s sleep and all three bedrooms have comfortable zip and link super kingsize beds which can be twin beds on request. Summary: Immaculately clean and very comfortable. Highlight is the comfortable beds. Rooms are receptively large, you would never think it was a ‘three bed three bath’ house from the street. Parking is on the street but there are usually spaces. Very convenient for the Fife Coastal Walk. Great views from south facing rooms across the firth.

Summary: Excellent flat, extremely comfortable. Beds were luxurious. Everything we needed was in the flat and the owners were very welcoming. The fish merchants were superb and exploring the nearby villages was wonderful as are the coastal walks. Great holiday. Only drawback the village pub closed at present. Summary: We have had an absolutely wonderful week at reflections. The house was amazingly equipped with everything you could possibly need. A real home from home of luxury comforts. St Monans is a lovely village and located perfectly for many local attractions. We walked the coastal path to Pittenweem, hired bikes and cycled round loch leven, visited at Andrews and Anstruther, and of course fruit picking at Carnie.
