Negative: There was a door between 2 properties, and the noise from the other property went on until well into the early hours. It was just a normal door that separated the properties and they tried to open it several times, which felt uncomfortable, especially as some guests were sleeping in the living room.

Positive: 2 Bridge View was a good sized cosy and comfy property which fully met our requirements in terms of size and bedrooms. Good range of appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.
Negative: Initial message from the property indicated that a late check out might be available and to just message to enquire. I messaged straight away, only to be met by a standard response. I waited a couple of days and then got a message confirming check in details and how to get the key. On receiving this I again asked about a late check out, only to be met by the same standard response. I then got a message asking for my details to make check in quicker, to which I then replied again asking if anyone reads these messages as I'd been asking for a late check out on a couple of occasions. I did finally get a response this time saying that it was available and that the person had been on leave. I do find it disappointing that a company of this size relies on messages being sent by 1 person when this could have been handled by another member of staff. Also, the property is in need of a good deep clean as there is a lingering smell throughout with some flat surfaces being quite dusty and cobwebs/dead spiders in corners.
Summary: A nice night away but could be cleaner and with better communications.

Negative: There was a hideous odour throughout the two nights of our stay. The smell was a strong smell of curry and did not disappear at all despite opening all the windows. The fridge also smelled. There were no matches to light the fire or scissors or a corkscrew. The carpet had not been vacuumed prior to our arrival.

Positive: Beautiful location, very well equipped and updated interior, spacious rooms, original wood fire places, country cottage feel. Modern kitchen facilities. Well maintained lawn and garden/apple orchard. View of river and bridge. Located just before the bridge so technically cut off from the rest of the village- feels isolated and peaceful. Pair of semi-detached cottages.
Negative: Only one bathroom (clean and modern bath, shower enclosure and toilet), however advert mentioned additional toilet downstairs but it appeared to be locked in the pantry behind the kitchen (maybe out of order). Some noise from pub over the river but stopped by 10pm.
