Follow the Strathspey whisky trail to sample a wee dram, or head south to Fort Augustus where Loch Ness joins the Caledonian Canal. Summary: Coiltie Cottage is a lovely, well equipped cottage in a quiet location. It is very pet friendly and has an enclosed garden. There is a small woodland and river nearby which our dog loved. The house is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. Drumnadrochit has a number of good places to eat and the grocery store is only a short walk away. John is an excellent host and we will certainly come back to stay again.

Summary: Excellent value for money. A lovely location and accommodation. The cottage is perfectly placed to explore all that this part of the world has to offer. The owner was very friendly and if you have dogs this cottage could not be better. Excellent.

Summary: Just perfect. The cottage was a real home from home with everything you could wish for. The beds, wow, so comfy with quality bedding. We slept like logs. Great secure south facing garden to let the dogs roam in and out. Location wise, virtually on the banks of Lock Ness. Fabulous location for exploring. Drumnadrochit a lovely village with some great pubs serving great food. Could not fault anything. We would highly recommend the cottage and the village without hesitation. Our only disappointment......... there was no sign of the elusive ‘Nessie’! ☺️
