Summary: Juniper Barn is a very warm and welcoming place. The views are beautiful, the interior is very interesting with a lovely, unique style and we were very cosy there. Hilary, our host, was extremely helpful right from the start, with offers of help and comprehensive instructions about travelling to the barn. We were welcomed into the barn with a delicious homemade cake and a bottle of wine. There was very generous provision of everything you could possible need. Very much appreciated. We wholeheartedly recommend this lovely place and hope to visit again.

Summary: Juniper Barn is lovely. Very cosy (amazing heating!) and very well equipped and laid out. I am a wheelchair-user and I know the barn isn't advertised as wheelchair-accessible because of the two steps at the front door, but I think it is a shame the owners didn't go the extra mile to make it possible to advertise it as a wheelchair-accessible. A good portable ramp could be provided for the steps at the entrance, the deep pile carpets could have been left out and instead had hard floors which would be much easier to manvoevre on, and the step up to the wet room could have been dispensed with, and some grab rails added. Important to note that the wet room in the master bedroom doesn't have a door, although is well-concealed from anyone else who is in the bedroom. I think it's worth telling people about this as for some people, an 'open plan' wet room arrangement is a bit too modern! Also, as mentioned, the step up into the wet room is a real lost opportunity to advertise the facility as good for those with mobility difficulties. Finally, I'm sure the views are lovely as advertised, but not if, as we noted, the trees and bushes around the property as so grown up that you can't really see the view! In the summer, I'm sure the balcony is a lovely place to sit though.
