Positive: The host was understandable when we had to arrive late due to travel delays. The host offered many recommendations for food and activities in the area and was extremely responsive for additional questions. The host offered local wine, olive oil, and eggs for our use. We felt like we were welcomed as family.

Positive: The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They advised of the best beaches and places to eat and made us feel part of the community. The apartment is very clean and modern and has lots of nice features. There wasn't anything they didn't have in the apartment either. Our iPad was going flat and they even had a charger for that.

Positive: The husband and wife hosts of Alexandra's were so kind and inviting. They've done a wonderful job beautifully renovating his family's former coffee shop and salon. Upon arrival, a carafe of homemade rosé wine awaited me. The house contains a comprehensive number of amenities. The hosts really thought through what a traveler needs. My favorite part of the visit was sitting just outside the front door at the apartment's cafe table and watching the town life go by. I did this in the evening with their tasty wine and again in the morning with coffee. I'd highly recommend a visit to Alexandra's.

Negative: In the bathroom Alexandra's had bamboo-like bathmats which were very handsome, but slippery. I mentioned this to the hosts upon leaving and they said they would replace the mats. Also, and this is not a complaint, Volimes is a very small, quiet town on Zakynthos. This is exactly what I wanted, but if you want a town where there is more activity, this may not be your place. I had a wonderful dinner at a restaurant recommended by the hosts. If you want to cook, the apartment's kitchen is very well supplied.

Summary: Alexandra's is definitely worth a visit!
