Positive: Barbara and Zrinka were amazing hosts! The food was delicious, the room was well appointed and we were treated in such an amazing manner. I would highly recommend Zrinka House to anyone traveling to Lake Plitvice. I can't say enough about the wonderful food that was cooked for us and we were given to go bags to make a picnic for our trip to the lakes.

Negative: The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been if we could have stayed longer!

Positive: From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything about this property was flawless. The exterior was charming, while the interior was beautifully styled with thoughtful touches throughout. Our spacious room and en-suite were immaculate, with every comfort provided – and the enormous bed was one of the comfiest we’ve ever slept in. We were warmly welcomed with a drink and homemade cake, and the host Zrinka could not have been more attentive – nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was a real highlight, with eggs cooked to order, an impressive selection of fresh, homemade items, and every detail perfectly presented. We especially loved the thoughtful touch of being encouraged to pack a little picnic for the day ahead. Quite simply, this was the best place we’ve stayed during our entire Europe trip – a perfect combination of comfort, hospitality, and charm.

Negative: The only disappointment was that we couldn’t stay longer!

Positive: Everything! From the moment we arrived after a 7 hour drive to a warm welcome from Barbara, to the invitation to pop by next time we’re in the area, it was perfect. Zrinka and her family have created a beautiful, relaxing place to stay.

Positive: We had the most wonderful stay at Zrinka House with Barbara and Zrinka. The welcoming cake and drinks were a perfect start to our 2 night stay. The property is located only a short drive away from entrance 1 to Plitvice to make the most of an early start in the park. Barbara encouraged us to make sandwiches and take homemade cake with us, not just for our day in Plitvice but also the next morning as we continued our journey. The room was beautiful and a spacious bathroom was a rarity on our trip so far. There are a few restaurants that are walking distance for an evening meal too. A very memorable stay - thank you Zrinka and Barbara.

Positive: This is an excellent place to stay when visiting Plitvice Lakes . You will be family ! Greeted at the door with homemade pastry. She reviewed our park tickets that we had bought online because of her recommendation. Breakfast was excellent. She gave us sacks to make lunches with the breakfast offerings so we wouldn't have to buy lunch in the park. I can't say enough positive thoughts !

Positive: Amazing hospitality by Zrinka and her daughter, they really set the standard. Our room was so comfortable with most importantly a comfortable bed with a top sheet, which we didn't find the norm for Croatia which usually runs to extremely hard, inflexible mattresses. Breakfast was delicious, and they leave small wax bags on the table so you can use the bread, meats and cheese to make yourself a complimentary lunch at the falls along with cookies and fruit. Zrinka made great dinner recommendations including a simple grilled food restaurant on the next street (Tina's House) where you got an abundance for freshly grilled meats with grilled veggies and fries for a low price. She also gave us great tips for the park including how to change the time on your pre-purchased tickets. They allowed us to check in early, offered tea and sweets in the afternoon and just went out of their way to make you feel welcome. 10 minute drive to entrance A. Even though there were only two of us we got the apartment which had a small kitchen, living room, and big deck with great view.
