Positive: Everything was perfectly provided by Zaur and his family! It was truely an unforgettable experience on the highest village in Azerbaijan! Apart from accommodation, Zaur can also offer taxi pick up and drop off from Quba, hiking tours and guides, and freshly made daily meals everyday with very reasonable prices. He and his whole family are honest, polite and very welcoming. I learned a lot about Xinaliq’s history, culture, language and way of life from Zaur. The guest house is new and very clean, seat flushing toilets and 24 hr hot showers are both within the guest house. The bedding is very comfortable that my smartwatch sleeping score was 100% for three nights in a row while living there, despite the high altitude. I couldn’t recommend Zaur’s place enough if you are visiting Xinaliq, and please don’t just come for one day and go, this place and its surroundings needs a good 2 to 3 days to enjoy! Thank you Zaur and your family!

Positive: If you are looking for a truly authentic experience you definitely need to go stay at Zaur’s place. We stayed with them, had dinner and breakfast together, they are extremely welcoming, super friendly, always with a good mood and make you feel like home, got to experience the authentic lifestyle of this very old village, it was simply amazing. Time really slows down up there. And the road taking you to this village is mindblowing. Best experience in Azerbaijan! Conditions are basic but good, don’t come expecting super modern facilities, you’re at 2500 meters in a very old village!
