Positive: It was convenient for where I needed to be and Yu was very quick to reply ands respond to my messages.

Negative: The accommodation is adequate and served my purposes. It is quite basic and only has electric convector heaters so I can imagine it is cold in winter. I would say that the facilities are basic - enough, but no frills. Tea, instant coffee and sugar are provided but nothing else. It's a strange layout - you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom, and there is no heat in the bathroom - it's all a bit 'Heath Robinson' with cellophane at the windows as a form of double glazing!

Positive: The property was well-located for the event we were attending, which was a wedding in a local village and the reception close by.

Negative: For a self-catering property, some easy improvements could be made. There were only plastic drinking vessels, the fridge was very small and low-down, and only one small kitchen knife, and at least one roll of kitchen towel would’ve been useful. There was only one towel per guest (would’ve expected a second) and no towel rail or hook on which to place it to dry, or anywhere in the bathroom to put your clothes, for example, while you were showering, other than on the floor or toilet seat. There were no pillow cases on my pillow (in the main bedroom) so borrowed from the twin bedroom as it was only being used by a single person.

Summary: Perfectly adequate for our booking as we were only there to sleep and for breakfast, so we managed.

Positive: Usually we stay in a hotel or motel for up to 3 nights, but this was a longer break of 9 nights, therefore, we chose a "home". Our apartment, a quite long single storey, possibly a former workshop/stables, link the much larger "Carriage House" (where the host family live, to a contemporary "Private" Pool building, forming three sides around a quadrangle. Our area comprised a bedroom, kitchen, shower/cloak room and use of a large TV lounge and games room (Snooker Table and Table Tennis) in addition we could have had use of a tennis court at a supplemental cost (situated in a fairly large garden to the rear of the property), if it were not for my injured knee, There is a second twin-bedroom available at a supplemental cost. Generally quiet, be it a nearby motorway hums in the background but sound disappears when window is shut. Wildlife in the garden included occasional deer, woodpecker, other fauna and a robot lawnmower...

Negative: Generally, the property was a great location for us, and any qualms we had are minor. Potential improvements - a washing machine for clients staying longer than a night or two be it the host did kindly offer to add some of our "stuff" to his usual wash. We were simply too reticent to take up the offer. A heated towel rail in the shower-room would be a good addition, a hanging rail in the Kitchen for tea-towels, plus our Host acknowledged there is a long, long dead-leg on the hot water supply be it plentiful and at good pressure when it arrives. A simple pumped secondary hot water circuit would deliver hot water quickly, save water, some electricity but commercially - better impress clients. Being a old converted building there is a mustiness/humidity that might be improved by installing an extract fan with a humidistat or to use an air purifyer.

Summary: We would be happy to stay again (If they let us after our prior comments)
